Who are the Guerilla Girls? They are a group of women artists and arts professionals who fight discrimination. They are the conscience of the art world, counterparts to the mostly male tradition of anonymous do-gooders like Robin Hood, Batman, and the Lone Ranger. They have produced over 80 posters, printed projects and actions that expose sexism and racism in the art world and the culture at large. They wear guerilla masks to keep the focus on the issues rather than their personalities. They use humor to prove that feminista can be funny. Their work has been passed around the world by kindred spirits who consider themselves Guerilla Girls too. They could be anyone; they are everywhere.
