The Corner Bookcafe and Antiques

Velkommen and Welcome!

The Corner Bookcafe is located just down the block from the Little Mermaid fountain in beautiful downtown Kimballton, Iowa, the "Other Danish Village", with a population of 352.

Halfway between Omaha and Des Moines, Kimballton is 10 miles north of I-80 at Exit 54 (the Elk Horn exit).

Kimballton and nearby Elk Horn (home of the magnificent Danish Immigrant Museum and the Danish Windmill) were settled by Danish immigrants looking for a place as beautiful as the country they'd left behind. I'm told the rolling green hills hereabouts made them feel right at home.

The Corner Bookcafe has new and used books, antiques, candles, soaps, and a growing selection of
unique Iowa gifts.
I've been away with a pair of angels (you can see why, can't you?) but I'll be back June 20 and look forward to seeing you.
Summer hours: Wednesday-Friday 9:30-5; Saturday 11-5
The rest of the year: Thursday-Saturday (unless I'm closed due to an emergency fishing trip or parade, so it's a Good Idea to call ahead).
