Nancy Jane Haines Leech

This is the wife of John F. Leech. She is the mother of Sam leach, Earl Leach and Will Leach. She looks like a mean or unhappy person but was told she was a very nice person.
She is the daughter of Abraham Haines and Mary Ellen Underwood.

He married (2) Nancy Jane Haines July 1, 1877 in Putnam Co. MO., daughter of Abraham Haines and Mary Underwood. She was born June 30, 1856 in VA., and died April 10, 1944 in Putnam Co. Mo.

My Grandpa John Ed Hicks

This picture was taken in 1980 or 1981 at the Veterans home in Knoxville Iowa. Pa as most everyone called him lived at the veterans home in Knoxville Iowa for several years. Grandpa was true blue no nonsense type person. My Grampa did not like smokeing or drinking and he had three boys which did and one daughter which did. Aunt Ruby never smoked or drank very much. Perhaps that is why her memory is like unbelievable. I mean realy who remembers what they wore for there first day of school. Well she does. Here is the fact sheet. Descendants of John Ed Hicks

Rosalee Hicks, born December 26, 1931 in Omaha Missouri, Putnam Co.. She married Raymond Alfred Wilcox on June 30, 1952 in Brooklyn Iowa; he was born January 23, 1930 in Brooklyn Iowa; he died February 15, 1994 in Unionville Missouri Putnam Co hospital of cancer. 3 ii. Loyd Wayne Hicks, born February 24, 1943 in Near Omaha Missouri, Putnam Co.; died July 18, 1996 in Unionville, Putnam Co., Mo. at the hospital. He married Mary Lue Cooksey April 1, 1967 in Moulton Iowa.

A note about my Uncles. I never lived with my parents. I was raised by my grandparents. When Grandmother Hicks went to heaven in 1968

I lived for several years with my uncles. Loyd (RED or Uncle BILL) died in 1994. I think of him all the time and miss him much. Bill was not book smart but was one of the smartest people I know in a lot of ways. When he knew he was dying he said "When one gets smart enought to live than its time to die
" How true!
