The Oskaloosa Drumline Homepage

Welcome to the 1999-2000 Oskaloosa Drumline. We are made up of 7 snares, 7 basses, 3 tenors, and 6 cymbals. We are instructed by the instructor of the Iowa State University Drumline, Steve Smith. This year is going to be a promising year for the drumline. We are looking better-than-ever. We are also making the jump into 4A this year.

The line is lead by Justin Van Rheenen (snare section leader), Brian Maddy (tenor section leader), and Greg Johnson (bass section leader). The snares include: Senior-Justin Van Rheenen, Juniors- Johnny McCombs and Jennifer Reinheart, Sophomores- Ryan Marcum, Erica Thompson, and Joe Place, and Freshman- Tracy Hole. The tenors include: Seniors- Brian Maddy and Matt Anderson, and Sophomore- Jesse Van Der Molen. The basses include: Seniors- (2nd bass)Greg Johnson and (1st bass) Beth Wellman, and Juniors- (7th bass) Ryan Groom, (4th bass) Gina Van Der Molen, (5th bass) Ryan Place, and (6th bass) Kevin Hunt. Sophomore: (3rd bass) Stephen Bore Cymbals include: Junior- A.J. Vander Meiden, Freshmen- Chad Ches and Brandon Hunt. (3 TBA)

Most Outstanding Drumline at Keokuk Octember Fest. Most Outstanding Drumline at Valleyfest (dayshow).

Music for the 97-98 Season

"The Miami Sound Machine". A Tribute to Gloria Estafan: "Conga", "Don't Want to Lose You", and "Get On Your Feet".

Accomplishments for the 97-98 Season

Most Outstanding Drumline at the Keokuk Invational and Marion Invational.

Music for the 96-97 Season

A Tribute to Elton John:"Pinball Wizard", "Don't Let The Sun Go Down On Me", and "Saturday Night's All Right For Fightn'".

Accomplishments include for the 96-97 Season

Most Outstanding Drumline at the Clarinda Band Jamboree and Valleyfest 17. 3rd place at the Cedar Rapids Jefferson Winter Drumline Competition, along with most outstanding snareline.
