Link Your Program to the Mission of the College

1.      List the college mission statement.

 

2.      Review and, if necessary, update your program mission, goals and learning outcomes. These should flow directly from the core mission of the college.

 

3.      Provide a description of steps your faculty will take to implement program goals this year.

Map Outcomes

1.      Download a copy of the outcomes map template.

 

2.      List the program learning outcomes on the vertical axis and courses that you teach horizontally across the top.

 

3.      Identify courses that support each learning outcome and assignments that may be used for assessment.

 

Create and Implement an Assessment Plan

1.      List at least two program learning outcomes.

 

2.      Explain how you will determine if outcomes are achieved (assessment procedures and performance criteria).

 

3.      Conduct assessment activities, analyze results and report findings.

 

4.      Use findings to improve teaching methods, course materials and activities, assessment procedures, etc.
