FLB History

End of season spreadsheets have been archived here.

Minimums

Your roster MUST include:

Lineup 9 (all positions including anybody for a DH)

Bench 4 (try to balance out positions) ex/ Catcher, outfield, shortstop, third/firstbasemen (DH can move positions to fill holes also) shortstops and 2b can bench for each other. (possible to have 5 in playoffs)

Reserves (hitters) 3 min (any positions and each must be at least $1)

Starting Rotation 5 starters (4 in playoffs)

Bullpen 1 closer, 6 set-up (closer is a pitcher that your team uses automatically in the ninth); All bullpen can be any type of reliever, but has to pitch in relief. If you have two closers then use one as your closer and the other as your top set-up man. (possible to have 8 in playoffs)

Reserves (pitching) 2 min (must be at least $1 each)

Minimum 30 man roster, all paid players

Maximum 40 man roster, all paid players

60-Day DL Up to 5 players

Players That Retire

Occasionally, a player will be under contract and decide to "officially" retire. If this retirement takes place prior to the beginning of the regular season, it may affect the contract with your club. Examples:

Situation: J.T. Snow retires with 1-year, $5 left on his contract before the season starts.

Result: J.T. Snow's contract is voided. $5 is returned to his owner and Snow is placed on the Free Agent List if still listed in the magazine

Situation: Snow retired with 2-years, $5 left on his contract before the season starts.

Result: Snow has one year removed from the deal and remains on his team's budget for the upcoming season.

Players That Pass Away

Unfortunately, this has occured in recent times. Darryl Kile was owned by a FLB team when he passed away mid-season. Corey Lidle was once owned. Both Steve Bechler and Josh Hancock were on the Free Agent List during the time of the unfortunate deaths.

If the death occurs prior to the beginning of the season, all funds will be repaid to the team and the contract voided. This applies, even if multiple years reamain on the contract. When death occurs mid-season, it will be treated similar to a season ending injury. However, the players is not considered to be on the 40-man roster (meaining, you esentially are allowed a max of 41 players) and any remaining years on the contract will be voicded following the season. God willing, this will not occur again.
