Travelling Around SE Asia.

Well as you can read about here, things went a bit sour for me at work in Japan. The big question was what to do about it. I initially applied for another job in Tokyo but didn't get it. Straight after that I went on a two week holiday in Vietnam, and when I arrived back in Tokyo after that, the way seemed to be clear : go backpacking around South East Asia until I ran out of money .......... seemed straightforward enough, and once I got through all the crap involved in leaving Japan - it was !!!

THe photos sprinkled around these pages are a mixture of ones I took myself and ones I found on the internet. I didn't take much photos really. I didn't have a camera, but maybe once a month I'd buy a disposable one and use up the whole roll in a few hours on scenery.

While I was travelling around, every now and again I would send off a group e-mail to everyone in my address book giving a vague description of what I was up to. These e-mails will be the basis of this page.

The Beginning - Thailand, Bangkok.

The Beach - Thailand, Ko Tao.

Malaysia - Penang, Kuala Lumpar, Taman Negara.

Return To The Beach - Ko Phan Gnan.

Nepal - Kathmandu, Pokhara and the Himalayas.

Northern Thailand - Kanchanaburi, Chang Mai and Pai.

Laos - The boat trip, Luang Prabang, Hardcore north, Vang Vieng, Vientiene.

Ko Samet, Australia and off home.

I've been in South East Asia twice, apart from the big trip detailed above.
Once to Vietnam as detailed here
and once to Cambodia as detailed here
