Trainee Quantity Surveyor
from 13th July 2002 to 28th August 2002
This training was undertaken in the
Technical Affairs Department, Sultan Qaboos University, Oman. Throughout the training period, I was intensively
doing work in seven large and major projects the following areas: Taking Off Quantities, Preparation of Bill
of Quantities, Preparation of Certificate of Payment, Contract Preparation,
Project Supervision and Management, Inspection Work, Assessing Accessibility
Issues and Site meetings. I also had
the chance to practice my knowledge
in the fields of Electrical and Mechanical Services. A brief concerning the training programme, and the certificate
awarded could be viewed by request.
Trainee Quantity Surveyor from 11 August 2001 to 23 August 2001.
This training was undertaken in the National
Engineering Office, Oman. It involved
some aspects related to quantity take-offs and on site measurements. I was trained on a project site. The aim of the undertaken project was the
Construction of Common Teaching Classrooms for the College of Engineering. A brief concerning the training programme,
and the certificate awarded could be viewed by request.
