Fairly Lively formed as a last-minute thrown-together band for a late
entry into a local band competition, "Guinness Quest for the
Best Irish band". They took out first prize the after three rounds
of playoffs. The band has achieved continued success and popularity
ever since.
has performed at Pubs, Clubs & Folk festivals all over the country
and when they are not on tour they can be seen in their hometown of
Brisbane at local Irish pub "Dooley's" every Friday and
Saturday nights, a residency that has spanned almost two years.
The bands debut album
is selling well and there are plans for a second album, in early 2000.
