Searching and Finding

As a member of the small committee in charge of locating as many of a group of 160 former classmates as we could, I found some of the following search sites invaluable. We were able to contact all but two graduates of the class of '65, even one who had moved to the Australian outback.

Building on those research skills I have since located a first cousin I hadn't seen in 28 years, a neighbor that moved when we were in kindergarten, and several others who left lasting memories, then moved on.

Another type of people search is tracking down your family tree. My family did years of work on the Rizor, Allerdice, Kimmerer, Fivecoat, Blythe, Kelly, ad so on, family lines in the precomputer days. And it was hard work. I have added a few of sites that may be of interest to family history searchers.

Over the next few weeks I will be imputing data collected by my family on the many branches of our family tree. If one of the following family names is in your search for your roots, please contact me. We may well share a grandfather somewhere in history.

Templin, Kelly, Blythe, Allerdice, Rizor, Kimmerer, Fivecoat, McCullough, Dunn, Dunham, Drake, Korns, Lefler, Fuller, Cooke, Morrison, Crowder, Smith, Douglass
