HOW TO
DOWNLOAD A PRINT QUALITY PHOTO |
Requires
Netscape Navigatior 2.0 or higher, or Microsoft Internet Explorer 2.0 or
higher.
Access the photo page through the link "Photo" at the left of your
screen (or below). Click on the thumbnail to access a photo for downloading. When the photo page opens place the cursor in the middle of the photo, click and hold (or
right click). When the drop down menu appears, select "Save As". A copy of
the photo will download to your hard drive.
After downloading the
photo to your hard drive, select your favorite graphics/photo program (Adobe
Photoshop, Quark XPress, etc.).
Select "Open" from the
"File" menu.
When the dialogue box appears, select the downloaded
file on the desktop within the dialogue box and click the "Open" button in
the dialogue box.
When the photo opens within your graphics
program, select "Save As" from the "File" menu and save it in whatever
format you prefer (TIFF, EPS, etc.). Do not leave the photo in the JPEG
format.
If you are using Internet Explorer to download the photo file and you cannot open it within your graphics/photo program, you can open it within the Windows Imaging program:
StartMenu/Programs/Accessories/Imaging
Save the file again within the Imaging program. Now the file can be opened by your graphics/photo program.
