The major aspects of my job include managing the Airport, the Seaport, the motor-pool and all maintanence of vehicles and equipment.
The following pictures are of the route to and areas surrounding the seaport. This area is a densley populated section of Port Au Prince, where there is no shortage of misery and poverty.
Since the deforestation of Haiti, construction of shelter is predominantly made from cinder block and concrete. Unfortunately, the concrete is really about 75 percent crushed rock and sand, and 25 percent actual mortar. The results of this can be seen in the pictures.
