Dear Business Owner,

Would you like:
to attract people between the ages of 28-60+
people with expendable income, that do go out
have your advertisement read and kept
to be in the forefront of a new adventure

Let me introduce you to "SiD" Single In Des Moines. This was an idea that I had and gave the idea to the Des Moines Register in October. They ran two small articles (October 8th and October 30th, 1998). The article onky provided singles with an e-mail address and a PO box. I recieved 65 e-mails and 25 people actually put a stamp on an envelope and mailed for information (I am still reciving reuqests). I have been single a long time and my feelings have now been confirmed... I am not the only single person out there. The premise or mission of this group is "it is not a dating service, nor a support group". This has attracted many singles. My first meeting 42 people showed up. The next 30 people came out in the snow. A bus load came to tour the lights and enjoy pizza. Breakfast was planned and it was -26º on a Saturday morning, and 15 hearty souls enjoyed breakfast and found it hard to leave. That Sunday due to a glitch in the Datebook the wrong day was posted for a meeting. I had several calls and let the membership know that there would be a meeting. We still had 25 people and it was the same weekend of the breakfast, and still bitterly cold. The age range of this group is between 28 and 60+, all wanting to be part of group activities. Each time I have and event the members come, as well as many new faces. The Des Moines singles are ready for this.

The singles are looking for things to do... places to go... activities to participate in. They are provided with a membership card with thier name and a monthly newsletter is mailed to them and also dropped off at several locations in Des Moines. The Val Air and KMXD 100.3 are putting on a Singles Mixer January 29th and have asked me to be a part of it. The exposure will be a real boost in getting the name recognition. This month I plan to print up 1,000 copies of the newsletter and hand them out at the event as well as distributing to the membership and the business.

Single in Des Moines is a business and as a business owner with a background in marketng and advertising I see real potential for the membership and business owners.

Please, call or e-mail to set up an appointment to explore the possiblities. Get you message out to hundreds of people looking for your message. Yours Truly,
Susan O'Keefe
