Tribute to Oz
What can be said about Oz? From the interviews and the few times I've talked to him in a chat room, I can say he's a riot! He's also very warm hearted and very much a christian. I've really enjoyed, and taken to heart some of the songs he's written. He's an awesome vocalist, ranking right up there with Michael Sweet in my favorites range.
In 1983 he joined brothers Robert and Michael, and along with bass player Timothy Gaines formed Stryper.
In 92, Michael left the group to pursue a solo career.
Stryper continued as a trio with Oz stepping up to the mic on lead vocals. In 93, the group disbanded.
Since then, Oz and Tim have formed the Band Sindizzy along with guitarist Bobby MacNeill, and drummer John Bocanegra. They have put out a disc entitled "He's Not Dead".
Oz now resides in Rancho Cucamongo, California with his Wife Leslie and three children. Paul, Tara and Lea.
