TEST
ESSAY RE-WRITING POLICY
Students
who receive a grade below a “B-“ on a test essay have the opportunity to
re-write their essay for additional credit under the following procedure:

Before
attempting a re-write, students must schedule an appointment with me to go over
their original essay.

Students
must schedule a 40-minute time to re-write their essays before or after school
(or during study hall) within five school days of the tests being returned. Essays will be written under the same
conditions as the original test.

Re-writes
will be evaluated as if they were original test essays. Original essay grades will be adjusted as
high as a “B-“.
It is my hope that this will
afford students the opportunity to analyze their writing problems and receive
additional credit for improvement.
