Essay Rewrite Policy

Any student who receives a grade of “C+” or below on an in-class writing (such as a test essay) is eligible to rewrite the essay under the following conditions:

1) All rewrites must be completed within five school days of the tests or writings being returned.

2) Prior to attempting a rewrite, student must schedule a conference to go over their original essay.

3) Students must arrange a time (40 minutes) to rewrite their essay. In most cases this will need to be done during study hall or after school.

4) The highest grade that a student is eligible to receive on a rewrite is a “B-.” Overall test grades will be adjusted accordingly.
