Mr. Wenzel and Mrs. Fischer will be accompanying the students. All questions should be addressed to Mr.
Stroebel (253-5288 ext. 166).
Our departure time on Monday morning is scheduled for
Appropriate dress for the trip is school casual. Please include one slightly nicer
outfit (simply no t-shirts or jeans) for the theatre. Make
sure that your child has packed all necessary personal items, medication, and
toiletries for the trip. It is also
extremely helpful if every student has a watch.
Please do not have your child take any valuables on the trip. Anything that would ruin the trip for your
child if lost should be left at home.
Money for meals will be provided.
A minimal amount of extra spending money would be appropriate.
Behavior Expectations:
The intent of this agreement is not to presume any inappropriate behavior, but rather to make the expectations very clear in advance. Failure to follow these requirements will result in appropriate consequences. These may include separation from the group, a telephone call home, or denial of privileges. Ultimately, in extreme cases, the school has the right to send a child home at his/her parents' cost or inconvenience.
· Students should be aware that the primary purpose of the trip is educational. They are expected to act in a manner that demonstrates a sincere interest in learning. Students are expected to be mannerly and act in a controlled fashion at all times, especially at memorials.
·
Students will be quiet and attentive when instructions are being given
and tour guides/bus drivers should not have to ask individual students to be
quiet.
·
Students will be on time at all times.
·
Students must realize that airports, hotels, lobbies, and restaurants
are public areas. Students must behave
in a manner so as to not disturb other patrons.
Shouting, running, or excessive
noise will not be tolerated. This
especially applies to hotel corridors.
·
Students will be given a time to be in their rooms in the evening. After this time, no student should leave
his/her room unless they notify a chaperone.
There should never be any noise coming from a room that is audible from
the hallway corridor.
·
Students should not use the telephone in their room. We cannot tie up the hotel phone system or
delay our departure to settle phone bills.
·
Students will be expected to appear for breakfast on time even if they
do not intend to eat to ensure that everyone is ready to begin the day and
avoid delays.
·
Students must keep pace with the group and not lag behind. We cannot afford to be delayed during the course
of the day. Students will be required to
remain with their group at the Spy and Holocaust museums.
·
Students should never isolate themselves from the group. Male/female students should not engage in any
action so as to cause any question about the appropriateness of their behavior.
·
Students will place all trash in the appropriate receptacles. Our
bus and hotel rooms will not be a mess.
·
Any use/possession of alcohol, drugs, or tobacco will result in the
student being immediately sent home.
