Image for my eye (Jan Schønemann)

1

See the sun is rising over the mountains

see the sky turn yellow, purple, blue

Thats an image, I will carry with me

when I leave this world for somthing new

Early morning cant get started

feeling low down dont know why

might as well give up ambition

keep an image for my eye

2

Children building castles by the seashore

having fun untill the tide comes in.

3

Feel the rain so gentle on my forhead

see the clouds, the sun is peeking through

4

Children sleeping peaceful on their pillow

trusting that their wishes will come true.

5

See the stars at night they shine so brightly

seem to whisper vaguely in my ears.

6

See this beauty swimming in the ocean

diving like a Dolphin in the waves.

The tale has changed (Jan Schønemann)

The Queen had gone shopping - in the Super Savings mall

And the King - was busy doing homework cleaning in the livingroom

and the Prince and the Princess were at school - learning math

when they heard the news on radio, and they knew.

This time the world has got to change to the better.

This time we'll help the poor to a desent life.

(This time we'll share the world - show some real respect)

This time the world has got to change to the better.

This time we'll try to do things right.

2

The chock was emmence and it was a nightmare comming true

With no kind of warning the story changed to a horror tale

At 500 miles an hour, death was comming soon

There were no chance of happy ending, only fear and pain.

3

The King meditated for days, wondering what he could do

The Queen realised that the other Queens are fragile too

So they reached out with hands and hearts giving what they could give.

And the man and the woman they would start each day with a humble prayer.

I miss my home. (Jan Schønemann)

I miss my home, and its kind of stupid

Im not alone, but at home I don't feel lost.

I go a long way back, in fact a lifetime

with my home - with my home.

2

I miss my Mum, and it makes me wonder

Cause when we talk, she always says I'm doing wrong

I go a long way back, in fact a lifetime

with my Mum - with my Mum.

3

I see my friends at home only now and then

They know me well and I know the words between the lines.

I go a long way back, in fact a lifetime

with my friends - with my friends.

4

I miss my cat, I'm not sure he cares.

He's only home when he's hungry or he sleeps.

I go a long way back, well, all his lifetime

with my cat - with my cat.

Not the jealous kind. (Jan Schønemann)

You came home and I felt like you were acting kind of shy

You were tence and you tryed to avoid looking in my eyes

Then you said that you had something that I should know from you

Not that secret but you wanted it to be between the two- the two of us

Where does it leave me - Please dont decieve me

Are you gonna leave me –

Perhaps I have been blind

Where does it leave me - Please dont decieve me

Wont you believe me - I'm not the jealous kind

2 Fi-nal-ly you were telling me, there is this other guy

At your work, he is flirting with you and you dont know why

But you cant tell him that he should not try to make you smile

And whats wrong with a bit excitement in your daily life -a normal wife

3 You once said that you would not want to know it if I fell

Fell in love with another girl - just say a quick farewell

But you think this is different, I am like a father too

You believe that if you are happy, I'll be happy too - and see it through

4

Now I'm trying to figure out the next thing that this guy will do

I will buy brighter flowers that his, have them sent to you

I will call you and ask you out for lunch but I dont know

What to say and the conversation is all tence and slow - this plan wont go
