The 3rd Unanswered Challenge: Is Catholicism Apostolic, name one doctrine that isn't.
Dates of Origin/Authors of Distinctly Protestant Doctrines
Fellow Christian:
Many non-Catholics often speak like absolutely no case can be made for the Catholic Faith. That it is the "Traditions of Man" or that it became apostate early on or that it is UNBiblical. The only reason for this site is to contrast Protestant theology with Catholic theology and let the reader decide which theology is Apostolic and which is not. For if either is not Apostolic, i.e., what the Apostles taught the early Church, then it needs to be rejected as such. For why would any sober Christian want to believe something that was "not" taught by the Apostles and the early Church. That would be a "true" Tradition of Man.
That is the sole purpose of this site. It is not meant to attack,,, but to defend. It is hard hitting, but so often the truth is just that. For the Holy Scriptures tell us that Christ has but ONE Truth, One Gospel and he started but ONE Church.
"There is One Lord, One Faith, One Baptism, One God." (Eph 4:4)
"As we said before, so say I now again, if any man preach any other gospel unto you than that you have received, let him be accursed." (Gal 1:8-9)
"And I say that thou art Peter, and on this rock I will build my church and the gates of Hell will not prevail against it" (Matt 16:16-19)
I want to begin with voicing my desire to believe as the Apostles taught the early Church, (no matter where it leads me). I would assume that all Christians would desire this. Because our Lord never wrote anything down, the teachings of his Apostles (both oral and written) to his early Church are the closest we can come to the teachings of Jesus Christ. Do you believe as the Apostles taught the early Church? Or do your doctrines stem from the Renaissance and beyond? Who authored your present doctrines? If you discovered that they were invented in the latter half of the second millennium, would you continue to believe that they were taught by the Apostles to the early Church? Would you? Would you continue to embrace what you know the Apostles could not have taught or would your Faith in Jesus Christ force you to seek and embrace the One Truth no matter where it leads you?
With that in mind, I would like to ask if you have ever considered the Apostolic Catholic Faith? I ask you this because ALL Catholic doctrines are the teachings of the Apostles and the early Church. Catholic theology is found in the Scripture verses not underlined in your Bible or taught in your Church.
(You may not believe this statement at first glance. But as you read on, you will discover who authored Catholic theology and who authored Protestant theology. It will become very apparent which theology is Apostolic and which is a product of the Renaissance and beyond).
If you think about it, all Protestant objections to Catholicism stem from one area.
1. That the Catholic Church's doctrines have been corrupted. That the Church no longer fully teaches the Truth of Jesus Christ.
(For if she was not corrupted and did teach Christ's One Truth, what need would there be for Protestantism)? Don't you agree?
I have constructed 3 Challenges.
--The first deals with the apostolicity of Protestant theology.
--The second deals with the Biblicism of Protestantism's most fundamental doctrine, Sola Scriptura or the "Bible Alone Theory."
--And the 3rd deals with the apostolicity of Catholic theology. If Protestant theology is as true as some might contend, then see if you (or your Pastor) can answer the challenges. For as of now they are unanswered, and I have posed these Challenges to hundreds of Protestant Pastors, laymen and doctors of Protestant theology to include several leading anti-Catholic apologists. Present these Challenges to your pastor or have him contact me, if you don't know where to begin.
I just want to believe as the Apostles taught the early Church and I assume all Christians feel this way. My faith in Jesus Christ compels me to believe as his Apostles taught his primitive Church. To believe otherwise would be dishonest with my God and with myself.
Have you ever seriously considered converting to the Apostolic Catholic Faith? My experience with Protestants has taught me that 90% of what the average Protestant believes about Catholic theology or even the Catholic Church herself is either a partial misunderstanding of what we REALLY believe or a total misunderstanding of Catholic beliefs.
This is because of a failure to go to the source. I.e. the Catholic Church herself for information about what she believes. Would you ask the Democrats to comment on Republican ideas and expect to get an unbiased answer? Of course not. Likewise to rely on Protestant sources for what the Catholic Church believes follows the same principle. 90% of what you have been told about the Catholic Church is most likely not the full story. I try to be fair with Protestant beliefs and I pray you would be fair with Catholic beliefs.
Have you ever "fairly" investigated the
case for Catholicism from non-Protestant
sources, i.e., from the Catholic Church itself?
Have you ever objectively investigated
what the Catholic Church has to say for
itself and what Apostolic documentation
and Biblical evidence it has for its doctrines? History tells us it is the Church Christ started in Matt 16:16-19. Every Protestant church was started by a man and finds its link to Jesus Christ through the Catholic Church. For the first 1000+ years of Christendom, there was but One Church. The Catholic Church

May I ask you a question?
==> Do you know who authored your modern Protestant Doctrines?
(If you say God did through the Bible, note that Protestants, Mormons and the JW's all claim this exact same thing. Why should one believe your personal opinion on the Bible vs the other groups mentioned above? Do you have any greater proof for your theology than the other two groups? Do you any a single Christian soul before the middle ages who actually taught your theology? (The other 2 groups don't either). If not, why is your unsubstantiated opinion on the Bible better than theirs?)
==> Do you believe the Apostles taught your modern Protestant doctrines to the Early Church?
(You may believe they did, but have you ever read of any Christian before the renaissance who taught or believed a Protestant doctrine?)
==> What would you do if you discovered your Protestant doctrines were not taught by *any* Christian on this planet before the Renaissance?
(Would you still think the Apostles taught them 1000+ years earlier?)
Please think about this question and be honest in your answer. For it is the crux of these Challenges. Some Christians are content to believe their theology "no matter what", if this is you, please read about such logic and the
Flat Earth Society
And lastly, what is your "burden of proof"
or what *criteria* do you use to accept or
reject a doctrine as being
"Apostolic" i.e.
taught by the Apostles to the early Church?
(Do you have a burden of proof? Or are you content to believe Protestant theology no matter what evidence is presented?)
If so:
Click here: The Flat Earth Society "no matter what".
I would think that all Christians would
agree with the following statement:
"I want to believe as the Apostles taught
the Early Church,"
and the converse;
"I don't want to believe Contrary to what
the Apostles taught the Early Church".
Do you agree with those two statements?
Think about why you do or do not. It will let you know your desire to believe as the Apostles did.
Here is a very important *analogy*:
What if someone told you
that the Apostles wrote scripture by
electric lights?
You would say "Nonsense"! For history tells us
the "man and the century" the light bulb
was invented.
(Thomas Edison in the 19th century.)
The same holds true for all Protestant,
Mormon and JW doctrines, one can point
to the "man and the century" they were
invented.
Taught by the Apostles?? No, history tells us
not one of these doctrines predates the renaissance. And if they are inventions of the renaissance, they are by definition not Apostolic or the teachings of the Apostles. It's impossible.
If you disagree with this statement,
then take the challenges below.
The answers might surprise you. Be
honest in your appraisal. Think with
your intellect, not your emotions. Continue to tell yourself that you seek the "One truth of Jesus Christ, no matter where it leads you".
Remember, just because you have been
taught something for years on end,,,
doesn't mean its true.
The Three Unanswered CHALLENGES to the Validity of Protestant Theology
My friends, as one can see from the unanswered Challenges above,
Protestantism is not Apostolic.
If after taking the Challenges, you still believe it is,
please read about:
Click here: The Flat Earth Society "no matter what".
It might show you what logic you contrast the case for Protestant theology vs the facts of Christian history and the Bible.
But, if you have realized that the 3 challenges are unanswered for a reason, or you are not sure if they are answerable and you wish to find out more about Apostolic Christianity, the faith of your Fathers i.e., what Christians have believed for 2000 years:
I would offer with 3 sources to start out with.
The first is
Click here: Frequently Asked Questions about the Catholic Church from Columbia University
It will answer many questions non-Catholics frequently ask. So much "misinformation" is circulated about the Catholic Faith. This site offers very short answers to the most commonly asked questions.
The second is a must read on why the Catholic Church, (as the Nicene Creed of the 4th century states), is the One Holy Catholic and Apostolic Church Christ founded. It will allow you to look at our ancient faith in a more historic Biblical manner.
Click here: "Pillar of Fire, Pillar of Truth"
And lastly, the most persuading link to the Apostolicity of Catholic Theology: a compendium of quotes from the writings of the Apostolic era and the students of the Apostles themselves. The very words of the Church Fathers. It allows the reader to see how the early Church interpreted the Holy Scriptures rather than how modern man interprets them 2000 years and 3 languages removed.
Click here: The words of our Apostolic Fathers on every Catholic doctrine you have been told is UNbiblical or an invention/tradition of man
I pray that this site has helped demonstrate that Jesus Christ founded but "One Church" with "One set of Beliefs", One Gospel. If we are going to call ourselves Christians, the name implies we follow what our Lord actually taught, not a modern Pastors interpretation of what he taught with zero support from historic Christianity.
Catholicism is Apostolic, it was founded by Christ and was taught by his disciples to the Bride of Christ; his Church. Or as the Holy Scriptures refer to it:
"The Church of the living God, the pillar and foundation of truth"
1 Tim 3:15.
God Bless you and all you do,
Daniel
"Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have." 1 Peter 3:15
Please email me if you disagree and please email me if you desire to learn more of the Apostolic Catholic Faith. And please have your pastor email me.
Ignatius of Antioch, 110 A.D.
(Bishop of Antioch and student of St John the Apostle):
"Let no one do anything of concern to the Church without the bishop. Let that be considered a valid Eucharist which is celebrated by the bishop or by one whom he ordains [i.e., a presbyter]. Wherever the bishop appears, let the people be there; just as wherever Jesus Christ is, there is the Catholic Church" (Letter to the Smyrneans 8:2 [A.D. 110]).
