Daily Discipleship Lesson

Assurance of Salvation - Sometimes we should not have it by Authentic Walk Ministries

Sometimes when we talk to people and they want to know how they can be sure they are a Christian there is more going on than what appears. I remember talking to one young lady and I was telling her how God wanted her to give up her sin, she became very angry and told me that she could live however she wanted - shes saved and thats all that matters. Now I am not saying that someone who does not give up ones sin is not a Christian because we all struggle. What I am saying is that it is perfectly alright for someone who has no intention of following God to feel no assurance that they are saved. For this reason when someone is wondering about assurance I ask why they feel that way instead of just giving a pat answer since maybe God is wanting them to give up a sin. So I simply ask them why they feel that way.
