In case you haven't noticed, I am a student of ancient history, and her religions. The history of civilization is an intricate tapestry, woven with fine threads by the hand of the Master himself. Everything is interwoven and connected with such delicacy that it is apparent that only God himself can do such a work. The ancient world had a far greater impact than most people realize, and her doctrines and politics continue to effect and permeate the mordern world.
The following pages will discuss the birth of paganism and it's lengthy history that continues today, not only in other religions, but, Christianity as well. It is not my intention to cast dispersions on one branch of Christianity or another, but, rather just put the facts out there. I will not site my own conclusions, rather, I will let you come to your own conclusions, my goal is to educate and perhaps give you some food for thought; not to step on toes.

I will be using several different sources, some of which will be the Bible (of course), Flavius Josephus, and plenty of various books on pagan Gods to name a few. There is a reason the Bible is the most widely read book in history, because God's inspired word reads like the greatest Novel known to man, and it is. The plot twists, and intricacies have been deeply thought out with such precision that it is obvious that God had all of this planned just as He said He did. As an aspiring writer, I can't help but respect Him even more. Before, I close this page, and begin with our study, I pray that the Lord not only be with me as I write this, but, also with you as you read it as well.
