High school...
I spent my high school years at Cedar Shoals High School. Four happy/joyous/miserable/bitterly disappointing years. Had a great time while I was there. Lots of great memories...but now it's over. We graduated on Friday, May 24, 2002. If I have time, I'll try to post pictures of graduation on here.
I would put a link on here to Cedar's website, but I don't even know if they have one. Go to Google and look up "Cedar Shoals High School" and you'll get tons of info about the football team, sports, and Academic Decathlon.
Oh yeah. Holland and Knight's Holocaust Rememberance Project. That was a ton of fun. ^_^
Various memories
10th grade: Coach Boggs wrote my name on the Wall of Shame because Colleen and I decided it would be fun to tell him that I forgot to bring back my abstract when I really did. He wrote "Oh my Grace".
9th grade: Ms. Neal had us memorize and recite "The Challenge" in front of the entire class the first week of school. She graded us on presentation. I stumbled midway through it because I looked at Eric and he waved to me.
Senior year at UGA: Right before the final for ENGL 1101, standing outside the door, Scott says in a loud voice, "Yeah, Grace and I decided last night that Courtier's some derivative of a vampire." Courtier was on the other side of the door and I'm pretty sure she heard him.
11th grade: Moving to the new building. Joel jumps into the dumpster so we can hand him stuff to throw out. Searching through the garbage with Maciej later, looking for anything that might be worth keeping. Finding the baby in the jar in Ms. G's room. Finding Megan Lewis's geometry project in the trash, setting it aside so Maciej could take it back to her, only to come back and find that a teacher had tossed it back into the trash and it had gotten smashed.
10th grade: Maciej hanging up on me and Teresa in at the hotel in San Antonio cuz I said "ass". Maciej hanging up on us again when we called back and Teresa said "bum".
10th grade: Going to that tennis match with Alan and getting a rather uneven tan on my legs. Stanford was playing.
10th grade: The Hobbit project for Ms. Neal's class. That was how I met Sarah.
10th grade: Stealing Josh's guitar and giving it to Folkerth. Josh doesn't realize it's gone til 2 periods later.
9th grade: feeling out of place in Interact. Surrounded by upperclassmen. Sitting there, quietly taking minutes, doing my job as secretary.
9th grade: Mr. P throws a jar of peanut butter at Lauren. Nearly hits me.
11th grade: The day we move out. We hang Mr. P's rubber ducky from the ceiling and attempt to hit it with the frisbees. I'm running back and forth across the room, avoiding the frisbees, to get Twizzlers to eat.
9th grade: We watched The Day After in Physical Science. The scene where the younger sister is holding something that belongs to her older sister and she wants it back. Someone asks, "What's she holding?" Mr P: "It's a diaphragm." Amazing how quiet the class got.
11th grade: Digging through the piles of books the English Dept was throwing out, looking for my copy of A Tale of Two Cities. Didn't find it. Found Michelle's copy instead.
9th grade: Danielle and others make the 10 Commandments of Neal for Ms Neal.
11th grade: We (me, Maciej, and Danielle) buy a Mr Potatohead for Mr P. Danielle makes a shirt for it.
