Savannakhet Bar
Oil Painting of the "Hoa Lan" Bar, a local dive which had the coldest beer on the Mekong. I was still painting then. We met a PAVN solider on R&R there one afternoon. Bought him a beer. He thanked us with gesture, drank the brew and left. What a strange war! (Copyright Thomas E. Lee 1968 1999-2005)
