Savannakhet from space on a partly cloudy day. This photo is from declassified US national satellite imagery taken in December 1968. KH-4A, Mission 1049, Pass 119, Aft Camera took the photo from 100 miles altitude. The photo is reoriented from its original imaging axis.The Savannakhet airfield is visible as a diagional line about 1/2 inch down from the river in the center of the photo with the town toward the river.
