Comments and Observations

9/13/01 DATA BASE MERGE: During my recent TDY I devoted over 100 hours to merging information from the Incident List into the working name list. This effort will double the number of names to approximately 1500. There are about 670 names in the on-line name lists. The statistics page reflects the current working data base entries of over 800. This figure will begin to grow very soon as the new information is counted.

In the ensueing weeks and months this information will be added to the web site data displays. In the process of adding these data the summary and detailed lists may not agree. The Summary Lists will be enhanced first followed by the detailed information in the Detailed Lists. Linking the lists will probably be last. At the same time the Incident List will be expanded to include the information awaiting entry.

9/13/01 SEARCH LINKS: The previous URLs of the "Targeteer Home Page" site at XOOM.COM and NBCI.COM are dead although some search engines may point to these sites.

10/10/01 RECENT TRAVELS AND RESEARCH: I just returned from the Thailand-Laos-Cambodia Brotherhood Reunion in Fort Walton Beach, FL. It was great to meet my E-mail friends in person and to get more information for the lists first hand. The second weekend was the Air Commando Association Reunion at the same place. Again, a great time to meet and renew friendships and get more information. Between the two reunions I visited the McBride Library (dedicated to Hoss McBride) at Keesler, AFB, MS and saw their display on the Ravens and Hoss. Later I visited Hoss McBride's grave in Hattisburg, MS. Then on to Maxwell AFB, AL where I sent about a day researching at the AF Historical Research Agency. Got more good information. In the quiet times during the trip I continued to organize the hardcopy backup to the on-line and off-line working files.

11/01/01 PHOTOS: I finally activated the photo page complete with thumbnails. Will begin to build up the photo gallery again.

01/14/2002 AIRCRAFT REGISTRATION: As an outgrowth of the Incident list, I am compiling the registration data for non-military aircraft that operated in Laos. A real data test file is posted.

01/14/2002 INCIDENT LIST: Information has been posted through March 1969.

02/15/2002 STATISTICS: Finally updated the stats after 5 months. 25% growth. AIRCRAFT REGISTRATION Project has grown with addition of the XW file (lao registrations) Bird, and CASI. Air America is building. TLC WEBRING: Got back on the new webring.
