Best Regards, Gerry and Sue Brunelle We saw Captain Maynard's name in a local fishing magazine and thought it would be a great idea to get a head start on the season by going down to Lake Champlain and try out our luck with the Lake Trout. The fishing season was not yet opened in our region and we were quite excited about getting a head start fishing as early as in mid-April. As our luck would have it, we got an overcast day with good winds, not an ideal day weather wise, but nothing to worry about but fishing! We fished for 6 hours and managed to pull in 10 Lakers ranging from 4 to 10 lbs, thanks to Captain Maynard and his expert crew, they knew exactly how to balance all the techniques to keep those fish biting. This trip ranks as one of our fondest fishing memories yet. We were well greeted, well treated and well served!!! We are both looking forward to our next trip already. Thanks again Captain!!! The LL salmon that Jon caught was very exciting for him and, as you are aware, he will have trouble forgetting about it. We fixed it up nicely with some sliced onions, tomatoes, lemons and butter and allowed it to steam itself inside of its aluminum foil oven. We ate the majority of it for dinner then set aside the remainder to combine with a pound of cream cheese, a squeeze of fresh lemon juice and a half cup of sour cream and some finely chopped parsley and served it on Ritz crackers.
