World class fishing with a US Coast Guard Master Captain

Captain Mickey Maynard

Don't be fooled by phony fly-by-night fishing "guides" who claim to be Captains!
Lake Champlain is a Federal "navigable waterway". A US Coast Guard License is required to guide or charter!

Captain Mick Maynard has over 45 years experience fishing on Lake Champlain and in the Adirondack region's many rivers, lakes and ponds. He has also spent countless hours fishing on Lake Ontario, the St. Lawrence River and the Hudson River from Troy to New York City. Captain Mick’s a hardcore fisherman with the credentials to charter on Lake Champlain. He holds a US Coast Guard 100 Ton Master Captain's license and an assistance towing endorsement. He also maintains a Coast Guard certified Able Seaman Unlimited/Any waters, Merchant Mariners Z-Card. Mick is a freelance outdoor sports writer who has published fishing articles in the Lake Champlain Weekly, the Press Republican and the New York Outdoor News. The Captain has fished with Champion bass anglers like Scott R. Martin and David Dudley. He's also guided for numerous other notable professional fishermen, club anglers and tourists alike who come to sample the virtues of northern New York and the Lake Champlain region. He's been featured on both national and local television shows and in various fishing articles from local tournament publications to USA Today. Whether you’re after trout, salmon, bass, pike, musky, bowfin, or other exotic Champlain fish, Mick welcomes one and all to join him aboard his 21 foot multi species vessel for an unforgettable angling experience.
