The story opens up at the Patakis house.When the door bell just rang.
Helga:`` I`ll get it.``
She opens the door and standing there is a skinny man he appeared to be about thirty years old .
The man: ``Hello is your mother home``.he said very politely.
Helga:``You mean Miriam?``
The man:``Yes you see I am your mother`s old boyfriend.``
Helga:`` Well Woopi Doo for you. Sooo what do you want anyway?``
The Boyfriend:``You see when we broke up I left some records at her house and I was too mad to come back and get them.I want them back now since I can sell them and get lots of money.``
Helga:``So you came back after all these years so you can get these old records back?``
The Boyfriend:``Yeah sort off .``
Helga:``Come on in ya weirdo.``
The man walks in the house and looks around.
The boyfriend:``Wheres Miriam?``
Helga:``She is probably sleeping on the couch again.``
Helga:``Miriam some old boyfriend here to see you.``
Miriam awakes from the couch.
Miriam:``What honey?``
Helga:``I said some old boyfriend is here to see you.``
Miriam:``What?`` She gets off the couch and walks toward Helga.
Helga:``Miriam this is one of your old boyfriends he has come to get some of his stupid old records,``she said pointing to Miriams old boyfriend.
Old Boyfriend:``Hi Miriam I haven`t seen you in a while you look very nice.``
Miriam:``Who are you?`` she says and fixes her glasses in the right place.
Old Boyfriend:``Why I am Timothy you don`t remeber me?``
Miriam:``Ohh now I do your that mean old boyfriend that always yelled at me.``
Timothy:``I am sorry for that but I was young and foolish.``
Miriam:``What do you want?`` She did not seem to very happy about his visit she had her arms folded across her chest and a stern look on her face.
Timothy:``I came here for my old records that I left at your house I want them back.``
Miriam:``You honestly think I would keep them for all these years especially since I was so very mad at you.``
Timothy:``You mean you got rid of them!``
Miriam:``Yeah I sold them years ago.``
Timothy:``But they were mine not yours I could have got big bucks for them nowadays.``
Miriam:``But I kept them for months and you never came and got them so I sold them.``
Timothy: ``I want the profits you got for them at least.``
Miriam:``Okay sure I will get my purse``, she looks around the house.Without success finnaly she asks Helga, ``Have you seen my purse Helga?``
Helga:``Its on the rack Miriam.``
Miriam:``Ohh good.``She goes through her purse opens her wallet and takes out $ 2.50 and hands it to Timothy.
Timothy:``This is all you made!!``
Miriam:``Yes I didn`t have any use for them so I sold them real cheep to a friend of mine.``
Timothy:``What!!!!!I could of got a hundred dollars for them.``
Miriam:``Too bad now get out of my house now that I gave you my profits.``
Timothy:``Wait a minute I want a hundred dollars I could have got that much and I want that much.``
Helga:``We`ll too bad mister go away.``
Timothy:``I will not go your mom owes me a hundred dollars your mom always did stupid things when we were going out but I believe this is the stupidest thing she has done so far!``
Big Bob walked in just as he said those final words.
Big Bob:``Get out of my house!!!!he screamed at the top of his lungs.``
Timothy:``Never not until I get my hundred bucks.``
Big Bob:``Yeah right like I am going to give you one of my worst enemy a hundred bucks yeah right.``
Timothy:``If you don`t I will stay here.``
Big Bob:``Yeah right I will kick your patoot if you don`t get your butt out of my house.``
Timothy being scared of Big Bob agreed.
Timothy:``Fine I will go geez,``he said as he walked out of the house and slammed the door behind him.
Big Bob:``Now that thats taken cared of I`ll go upstairs and take my shower.``He walks up the stairs and shuts the bathroom door behind him.
Miriam:``Jeez I wish I never saw that man again.``she said as she sat down on the coach.
Helga still puzzeled about that strange man decided she would have to ask her mom about it.So she sat next to her mom on the sofa.
Helga:``Mom who was that man and why did dad say he was his worst enemy?``
Miriam:``We`ll you see honey I dated that man when I was young I did not know he would act that way to me you see honey he used to treat me so mean from the first date to the last date.``( Flash Back begins)
Miriam:``On the first date he got all mad at me cause I spilled soda on my dress cause he was embarressed about people seeing me with him with soda all over me.``
Timothy:``I can`t believe you spilled soda on yourself what will my friends say if they see you like this.``
Miriam:``And when I first got my license he got mad at me for loosing my keys because he didn`t want to be late for his friends party.``
Timothy:``I can`t believe you lost your keys now we are going to be late for my friends party if I didn`t fail the drivers test and got my liscense I would never lose my keys.``
Helga interupts the flashback
Helga:``Why didn`t you break up with him in the first place mom?``
Miriam:``I don`t really know I think it was either to be cool cause I had a boyfriend like everyone else or because I didn`t want to be alone.``
Helga:``Mom but when did dad meet you and Timothy?``
Miriam:``I didn`t know your dad until a while later I met him at a bowling alley.``
Helga:``How did you talk to him I mean how could you become aquatinted with him?``
Miriam:``He was one of Timothys friends friend.Now when Timothy and I were Intruduced I could tell he liked me cause whenever we met he would complement me and well be sweet.One day he came up to me and said.``
Bob: ``Will you go out with me?``
Miriam:``Of course I said no cause I was already going out with Timothy.Bob said Timothy was a jurk. But I wouldn`t listen to him. On my next date with Timothy he said another mean thing to me I couldn`t take it any more and yelled at him back and thats how we had a argument.He was being so mean I said I will never be your girlfriend again.And with that he stormed out of my house but at the next day at school he apoligized.``
Timothy:``I am sorry I yelled at you I will never do it again.``
Miriam``I could tell he didn`t mean it and I said no.``Then I went up to Bob and I said I broke up with Timothy and wanted to go out with him.Bob and Timothy had many fights about me.Bob didn`t like the way Timothy talked to me so he always threatened to beat him up for me.``
Helga couldn`t believe what she just heard.
Helga:``Thats pretty cool.``
Miriam:``Yep and I still love your dad as much as I loved him then.``
Helga:``Thats great mom I never knew that much about Dad before.``
Miriam:``Yeah ohh I need a smoothie after all this story telling. do you want one Helga?``
Helga: `Sure I`ll help make them.``
Miriam:``Ohh good you can pick which one you want.``
Helga:Cool I think I will have Strawberry Sunrise thats my favorite.
Miriam:``Mine too.``
So the rest of the day Helga and Miriam bonded so I guess the visit fron Timothy was good for somthing.*Smile*
