 NATHANIEL4 MARTIN (EBINEZER3, JOHN2 MARTYN/MARTIN, EDWARD1 MARTYN) was born January 1723 in RI, and died October 15, 1806 in RI. He married SUSANNA KENT.

Notes for NATHANIEL MARTIN:

He resided in Barrington, R.I. He established the first ferry across Warren River. He was appointed lieutenant colonel of the First Regiment of Rhode Island, in May 1772, and colonel of the same regiment in October following. He was a deputy from Barrington in 1772, 1773, and 1774 and in 1776 he was a member of the Committee of Safety.

MARTIN, NATHANIEL, of BA, yeoman. Will dated 22 Feb 1803, proved 3 Mar 1803, pgs 115-117.  Mentions: Wife Susannah Martin. Sons Luther Martin, dec (leaving unnamed heirs who are to receive land bounded by land of my (testator's) grandson Nathaniel Martin Jr., Calvin Martin, Anderson Martin, Anthony Maritn, & possibly Nathaniel Martin who is not mentioned but only suggested by the mentioning of land of testator's grandson Nathaniel Martin Jr.  Daughters Nancy, Gladding & Althea Cole wife of Ambrose Cole.  My will is that Elizabeth Martin, the natural mother to heirs of said Martin have 1/3 profits --said Martin probably son Luterh Martin dec.  Witn: Martin Brown, Joseph Bosworth, Solom Townsend
