Peace Corps volunteers are not allowed to 'publish' while abroad, so I kept in touch from 2001-2003 with friends and family through a monthly email list. I then used this list while in Japan as a Rotary World Peace Fellow to continue publishing the trials and triumphs of my life, as blogging did not exist yet!
