The Future Story Chat thus far

I would recomend reading the part from Elijah that I have here before moving on to the future story below.
Future part from Elijah

< Salia > ~she looks around the village’s streets, her cloak's hood pulled over her face. She had sensed the presence of the imperial army, but has yet to find where they are. She tries not to attract attention to herself, nor is she trying to be obvious either. There is minimal activity in the area, some people are walking past, a few are sitting in front of their homes working. She starts walking down the street, almost silently, to herself~ *And I just got here too... hopefully they'll pass by without notice..*
< Elijah > ~Elijah is coming in from the other side of town, intently looking for Salia. He too is not trying to attract attention. He watches the people around him carefully, trying not to miss her~
< Salia > ~continues to walk, looking around every so often~
< Elijah > ~looks left and right, conscious of the people around him, running in to the wrong person could cost him his life~
< Salia > ~she walks into his view sight, after a few paces she pauses and looks behind her, in the opposite direction that Elijah is in~
< Elijah > ~Elijah squints in the sunlight. Questioning if he really saw her, He continues walking, not wanting to say anything, because of the crowd around~
< Salia > ~she turns back around, and then slips between houses, down a more deserted street. He barely sees where she goes. Looks around at her surroundings, and quickens her pace a bit~ *smart.. a deserted place..*
< Elijah > ~follows her, also quickening his pace.~ *Wait up, Salia!*
< Salia > ~she stops suddenly~
< Elijah > ~he catches up to her and whispers~ It's about time you slowed down.
< Salia > ~jumps and turns around~ What? ~voice sounds lower than usual, as if trying to hide who she is~
< Elijah > I've been following you since you turned the corner. Salia, it's me, Elijah.
< Salia > Elijah? ~sounds surprised~
< Elijah > What?
< Salia > I... I didn't expect to find you here?
< Elijah > And why not? ~he looks at her curiously~
< Salia > You disappeared... we haven't seen you around for so long that we thought you were... ~she drops off~
< Elijah > Well I've had to take care of a few things, it was better that mom didn't know where I was.
< Salia > Still, no word what-so-ever... we are few, and word of another alive is good news.
< Elijah > Yes, ~he grins slightly, but then frowns~ I'm sorry to hear that.
< Salia > ~looks at him slightly curiously, but doesn't seem to know anything different~ Its not safe out here... ~looks around the surroundings using her peripheral vision so that she doesn't have to move her head too far one way or the other~
< Elijah > I know.... ~he shudders as some images from what he's seen in other towns appear.~ It's safe no where Salia.
< Salia > I know... but we deal with what we can.
< Elijah > I guess all you can really do.
< Salia > ~nods~ And keep recruiting.. ~she seems uncomfortable with just standing out in the open~
< Elijah > Where are you headed... maybe we should go there to finish talking. ~looks around cautiously~
< Salia > I'm not entirely sure yet.. I'm thinking the woods just a bit from town, it’s the best place... ~she starts to turn as if to start walking~
< Elijah > ~steps up next to her waiting.~
< Salia > ~heads down the path, toward the woods. They appear ahead of them quickly for the town is not very big~
< Elijah > ~follows behind her, has to take huge steps to keep up with her.~
< Salia > ~leads him into the woods until she's satisfied with their distance from town~ This should be better, ~stops, turning back toward him after checking out the surroundings~
< Elijah > You know Darrin and his army are on there way here soon. ~he quickly says, acting as if he was trying to get it off his chest as quickly as possible.~
< Salia > I know the army is close... I didn't realize he was with them... ~she looks a bit worried now~
< Elijah > He is...unfortunately. And stronger than ever.
< Salia > ~she looks around as if she's making a decision, turning as she does so~ Going to have to change plans... they're getting quicker.. or bigger either one..
< Elijah > Both really....~sounds sad.~
< Salia > Have you seen them? ~she looks at him~
< Elijah > I've been following them.
< Salia > Why?
< Elijah > I had a feeling that something was going to happen and someone needed to find out.
< Salia > ~nods~ Its almost the safest place I suppose.. either behind them or amongst them. ~she has left her hood up the entire time~
< Elijah > ~doesn't say anything to her comment, acting as if he is watching the forest. He then looks back her.~ This forest has changed so much.
< Salia > Everything has... its so hard to find things that haven't.. ~says sadly. she hears a sound and looks up quickly~
< Salia > ~turns to Elijah~ I best get moving... need to find a better place to hide..
< Elijah > ~looks at her startled~ May I come with you?
< Salia > Do you have a place that you can go to? If not, perhaps you can.. but it is very difficult to hide with more than one person..
< Elijah > I've been gone so long. I don't know what's changed, I wouldn't know where to go.
< Salia > ~she looks up quickly again as the sound becomes louder. She morphs Catsi and kneels slightly~ Get on then, and hurry.
< Elijah > ~he quickly jumps on her back, holding on to the hair at the back of her next, not saying anything~
< Salia > ~she jumps forward into a quick run, deeper into the woods. Soon she approaches what appears to be a large fissure or canyon, doesn't seem to slow her run. She doesn't appear to be opening her wings as she runs toward it~
< Elijah > ~watches around him, grinning~
< Salia > ~they reach the edge of the fissure, and she jumps, wings closed. There is a bit of a flash and they land on solid ground with no fissure in sight. A large bush lies ahead to their right, and she approaches it~
< Elijah > Where are headed?
< Salia > This is where we meet up occasionally ~she enters the brush, walking into a cave~
< Elijah > ah.... ~looks around, occasionally over his shoulder~
< Salia > ~they enter a larger room, and she kneels down to let him off. There is no one else there but them. The room is dimly lit, but its hard to tell exactly how this is done~
< Elijah > ~gets off, still looking around~
< Salia > Its one of the few places we have left... ~she says quietly~
< Elijah > ~nods his head. Grins slightly~ *Good.* ~frowns, quickly~ That is sad to hear.
< Salia > ~looks at him oddly~ There is something odd about you...
< Elijah > What do you mean?
< Salia > I don't know... its... its as if your words are shallow..
< Elijah > shallow? In what way? I don't understand. *I knew this was a bad idea, she can see right through me* ~looks confused~
< Salia > ~she morphs back to her human form~ There is no other way to describe it.
< Elijah > But there's something wrong with me?
< Salia > I'm still working that one out. ~she turns away from him, looking about the room~
< Elijah > ok... *oh, great, and he thought this going to work, I told him she would know better.*
< Salia > ~doesn't answer him, her attention seems to be on something on the wall. Its some kind of writing, but he cannot decipher~
< Elijah > ~he looks closer, trying to decipher it, not coming up with anything~ What is it?
< Salia > Writing. ~it doesn't appear that she will be saying any more than that about it~
< Elijah > Duh, I think I could have figured that much out! ~sounds slightly annoyed~
< Salia > Then why did you ask. ~says flatly, but doesn't turn toward him, still facing the writing, reading~
< Elijah > I asked thinking you might know what it means. ~anger is flashing in his eyes~ *Stupid girl*
< Salia > I know what it means. Very few do. We like to keep it that way.
< Elijah > So your not going to tell me?!?!
< Salia > No. ~she turns back to him slightly~ Why are you pushing for it so strongly?
< Elijah > I was just curious, you know the raccoon and all.
< Salia > But you never got that upset about something like that before.
< Elijah > I'm not upset. ~tries to cover he's annoyance~
< Salia > I can sense it radiating off of you. ~she then turns back to the writing, walking up to it this time~
< Elijah > Well then your senses must be out of whack. ~knowing that she knows, but will never admit it.~
< Salia > Perhaps. ~says even though she knows its not true. Puts her hand up against the wall where the writing is~
< Elijah > perhaps what? ~leans slightly closer to her~
< Salia > In response to your statement. ~she says somewhat half mindedly, as if she is concentrating on something else~
< Elijah > about your senses?
< Salia > mmm, ~is all she speaks, is still concentrating on the "board" Words are beginning to appear at the end of the list as if she is writing~
< Elijah > ~watches carefully but says nothing~ *interesting... I wonder....*
< Salia > ~stays silent as she "writes", her hand pressed against the wall on top of the older writing~
< Elijah > *What is she doing?*
< Salia > ~the writing stops, and she backs away from the wall slightly, as if to look over what she had written~
< Elijah > ~looks closer trying to read it, but all he can tell is that its Nathadian, the ancient language~ *great, figures she would write in another language on top of something I already didn't understand!* ~steps back, giving up on trying to figure it out~
< Salia > ~she turns back to him~ Since you were following the army, did you know how long they'll be here?
< Elijah > No, I don't know, couldn't get close enough to hear any conversations. They had guards, of course, everywhere.
< Salia > ~nods, and glances back at the writing. There appears to be more up there than there was a bit ago~
< Elijah > ~looks at it strangely, but doesn't say anything~ *Strange*
< Salia > We best get moving.. I have something to attend to...
< Elijah > All right.
< Salia > ~she morphs catsi again, kneels down~
< Elijah > ~climbs on~
< Salia > ~walks out of the room, toward the cave entrance. They emerge from the cave. She begins walking forward at a slower pace as if preoccupied~
< Elijah > ~looks around the area, if looking for someone in particular. He stares at a bush for a while, but then turns back to the view in front of them~
< Salia > ~continues walking forward, now a bit faster. If Elijah were to look behind them, he'd see the canyon that was there before~
< Elijah > ~looks forward, trying to divert the attention away from what was going on behind. A small group of warriors, went into the canyon, unknowingly by Salia~
< Salia > ~after a bit she stops and kneels down~ This is where I part from you... there is something I need to tend to quickly
< Elijah > And where shall I go?
< Salia > Where you'd go if we didn't run into each other.
< Elijah > ~shrugs slightly~ I don't know, I just prayed that I'd find you.
< Salia > Where I'm going I can't take passengers. But I will be back here later on today. I am to meet someone back there. ~indicating toward the cave~
< Elijah > Ok, I shall meet you here, later, then. I’ll find a place to hide until then. Good-luck my cousin. ~he bows his head slightly towards her, trying to cover his grin~
< Salia > ~she bobs her head~ Same to you. ~she opens her wings and takes off the opposite direction~
< Elijah > ~at that he heads toward the forest, at a full run. Elijah, heads off, deep into the forest, then stops. In front of him is a large tree stands, it is dark and twisted in shape.~ < They are ready. > ~he grins evilly, Elijah now looks quite dark, and eerie.~
< Elijah > < Yes, my lord. >
< Elijah > < I will so my lord > ~at this Elijah heads back towards the cave, ready to give his orders~
< Humans > ~later that day... Two humans, both male approach the canyon. They look everywhere before stepping into the mirage, heading toward the cave~
< Human1 > She said she'd be here right?
< Human2 > ~the second one merely nodded, they approach the brush in front of the cave~
< Human1 > ~the first pulls back a few of the branches so that they can enter~
< Human2 > ~finally speaking~ She said it was fairly important for the group.
< Human1 > I hope its more people.... we'll need them. ~they enter the cave, walking down the corridor toward the main room~
< Salia > ~eventually, Salia, in her natural form approaches the canyon.~
< Group > ~from a distance, a group of two or three watch carefully~
< Salia > ~she pauses before walking into the mirage~
< Group > ~the group, moves a closer, but a quite so nobody hears them. The stop after a short distance~
< Salia > ~she looks around the area, having stopped after a few feet. Shrugs it off and walks to the cave. Moves the brush out of the way and enters the cave~
< Group > ~the group quickly moves to the brush around the cave, waiting for their cue~
< Salia > ~voices can be heard barely from within the cave as Salia had met up with the two humans~ As you both know the army is in town...
< Human1 > Nearly the whole thing from what I've heard... you and the others kept a low profile I assume?
< Salia > Of course... we may even move on if they stick around too long.
< Group > ~outside, a low whistling noise come from the forest~ < It's time boys > ~says an evil thought in their heads~
< Salia > ~she pauses~ We may even be getting a few more.
< Human2 > Its getting harder isn't it...
< Salia > ~nods slowly~ Sadly...
< Group > ~three warriors head for the entrance, and the rest set up, around the opening of the cave. They move away the bushes that blocked the door~
< Cave > ~it grew silent from the interior~
< Group > ~the three dark clocked warriors, move in, slowing moving towards the room, where they are talking. But they cannot see anyone in the main room. They look around surprised~ Where are they? I thought they be here. ~there appear to be no other exits from the room~
< warrior2 > They have to be, we saw them enter.
< Salia > ~a voice in their minds~ < Who sent you. > ~sounds more like a command than a question~
< Group > ~all three look startled and confused. The hairs on their backs stand up, but they say nothing, not wanting to defy their master~
< Salia > < I see then. Then I suggest you leave now. >
< Warrior 3 > I think you should show yourself and make us leave! ~he seems to be shaking now, but is trying to act brave~
< Salia > < How stupid do you think I am? I know why you are here. >
< Warrior 2 > And madam why are we here? ~he says softly, trying to acted confused~ I thought we were here trying to find shelter for the night.
< Salia > < Then how'd you get past the canyon? > ~they cannot see her, but she is using an illusion to hide herself, the two humans had sought shelter in hidden passage. She is moving behind them slowly~
< Warrior 1 > We've been walking for days, ma' ma , ummm.... we came from the other side. Long tired, walk.
< Salia > < Right, and the cathern dance and sing with the catsi >
< Group > ~all three, stand there frozen, unsure what to do now. They hear a little noise from behind them near the wall. The instant they turn around to look, they see a wall of flames rushing at them~ AAAAAHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ~they head for the exit running fast, screaming at the top of the lungs~ Run fast, run!!!! ~as soon as they all are running the flames vanish~
< Group > ~the rest of the warriors, run after of them, after seeing the flams, come shooting of the exsit~
< Salia > ~Salia's shield had dropped when she sent the mirage at them~
< Elijah > ~At the edge of the forest, Elijah stands watching~ < COWARDS!!!! DARRIN SHALL HAVE YOUR HIDE > ~he heads back into the forest, hoping that Darrin won't have his hide either.~
< Salia > ~after several moments~ They are gone.
< Humans > ~the two humans emerge from the hidden passage way.~
< Human1 > We'll have to send word with Shawn.
< Salia > ~nods~ He already knows. ~she turns to them~ They probably saw you two...
< Human2 > We knew it would eventually come to it... but do not worry, we have a backup plan for it.
< Salia > ~she goes to the panel were the words appear, and places her hand on it. The writing vanishes, and she steps back~ It was a good place...
< Human1 > How'd they find it.
< Salia > ~shakes head~ I don't know... perhaps one of us was followed..
< Human1 > Either case, we best get out of here before they come back realizing that fire wasn't real.
< Salia > ~nods~ I will depart from you here.. may your spirit animals guide you and be safe.. ~she morphs to a wolf and trots out from the cave quickly.~
< Humans > ~the two humans eventually follow, taking a longer route to town.~
< Salia > ~Salia heads into the woods, through the mirage which dissipates as she goes through it~
< Elijah > ~Elijah is up against the old worn out tree. His eyes are closed, he looks as if he has been through a battle of his own~
< Salia > ~a wolf can be seen moving through the shadows, it turns its gray head and looks toward him~
< Elijah > ~he seems to be in some kind of trance.~
< Salia > ~she approaches cautiously~
< Elijah > ~he's eyes open, but he sees nothing, he closes them again, this time placing his hand on the bridge of his nose, as if he has a headache.~
< Salia > ~softly, ~ < You alright? >
< Elijah > ~looks around startled, then he sees the wolf~ Yes, I'm fine. ~his voice has a darker edge to it~
< Salia > ~she stops several feet from him, her head turned to the side slightly. her green eyes shimmering~ < You don't seem fine... > ~asks quieter~
< Elijah > I'm just tired, it's been a long day. ~he rubs his eyes as if to emphasize his point~
< Salia > ~nods slightly~ < Going to be longer for some of us... > ~looking over her shoulder~
< Elijah > Why what happened?
< Salia > ~turns back to him~ < Ran into some trouble, but it was nothing serious. > ~a wolfish grin~ < They weren't too bright >
< Elijah > *Tell me about it* Really, what were they up too? Do you know?
< Salia > < Not entirely sure. But its not too hard to guess at. > ~says as if its common knowledge~
< Elijah > Do you think they understood it or even found it?
< Salia > < Understood and found what? >
< Elijah > I. ah.. I figured you were talking about the writing on the wall. Obviously it's something important. I figured that what you were talking about.
< Salia > < Maybe. > ~she looks at him with an expression that he cannot decipher~ < As far as I could tell they never noticed it >
< Elijah > What?? ~looks startled by the look~
< Salia > < Why are you so uptight? You practically radiate with unease from this wolf's nose >
< Elijah > I'm not up tight! I'm fine! I told you that earlier! ~pain shoots through his head, he puts his hand back up to his head~
< Salia > < I see. > ~doesn't sound at all convinced, but apparently isn't going to press it. Looks around her briefly, surveying surroundings~
< Elijah > ~when Salia's back is to him, he passes out from pain~
< Salia > ~she turns back around, a look of surprise passes through her green eyes~ < Elijah? > ~she moves to him quickly~
< Elijah > ~he lays there unconscious, only the up and down motion of his stomach tells her that he was still alive~
< Salia > ~frowns slightly, looking up at the surroundings~ < Great... pass out now when we could gain company at any moment. > ~she morphs to her catsi form and gently uses her tail to place him on her back and hold him there. She takes off into the air and flies low and away from the cave area, sticking to the woods. She stops at a small pool of water, lands next to it and lays him back down onto the ground, on his back~
< Elijah > ~he groans slightly, but is still not awake~
< Salia > ~she dips the furred part of her tail into the water and then lays it over his forehead, acting as a cool cloth. Her wings are fanned out in front of her as if acting as a shield. She waits silently, but her ears are on constant alert~
< Elijah > ~his eyes blink open. He looks up Salia, confused because of the Catsi form~ Where... am..m. I?
< Salia > Several earth miles from where you dropped.. ~she looks down at him~
< Elijah > What happened????? ~he has a scared sound in his voice~
< Salia > I think you passed out from stress.
< Elijah > oh..... *you have no idea* ~he closes his eyes, but is still awake.~
< Salia > You going to be okay?
< Elijah > ~he looks back up at her.~ I think so. ~he pushes himself up into sitting position~
< Salia > ~she moves back a bit to give him room, moving her tail and folding her wings~ Good... because everyone will need to be on the move as soon as possible..
< Elijah > From what? ~he shakes his head, trying to hear the words clearer~
< Salia > The cave was discovered.. our hiding place was found.. we need to move on or be caught. ~sounds a bit harsh at the last part as if frustrated by it~
< Elijah > oh, ok.... ~remembering slightly, but still confused.~ So where do we go now?
< Salia > Another town.. most of us are splitting up. I'm going to Malna... but its unadvisable for groups, even small ones to travel together, even if we end up in the same place.
< Elijah > So are we parting ways here? *Dang it! I need to be with her at all times so I know what she is up to. DS is not going to be too happy about this at all*
< Salia > For now. I can meet up with you in Malna if you know the way.
< Elijah > Yes, I know the way. *Thank you. I would hate for Darrin to get my hide*
< Salia > ~looks closely at him~ Will you be okay? Can you travel?
< Elijah > ~he stands up~ Yes. I think I am fine, now, thank you. I should be able to travel.
< Salia > Good. ~a faint smile appears in her eyes and whiskers.~ I have someone I must meet up with before I go, so you may well get there before I. Since you found me once, I trust you can do it again. ~she morphs to her natural form~
< Elijah > Yes, I'm sure I will. ~grins at her~ I will see you there. ~he turns to leave~
< Salia > Safe travel, and let you spirit animal guide you safely. ~she walks off into the trees toward town~
< Elijah > *And may you spirit guide you into trouble.* ~his grin broadens. Then disappears~
< Salia > ~she walks slowly along as if trying to find someone without attracting any unwanted attention. Awaits some sort of sign from her aunt, knowing that she is somewhere in or near the village~
< Stephanie > ~at the edge of town, Salia sees Stephanie walking towards an old well~
< Salia > ~she walks toward the well, taking a slightly altered path.~
< Steph > ~Stephanie, hooks her bucket on the lever and lowers it down.~
< Salia > ~approaches the well within her view. Bobs her head slightly and slowly in a greeting. Almost appears as if she is waiting her own turn at the well, bucket in hand.~
< Steph > ~Stephanie looks up at her, nods, also. ~ She concentrates on pulling the full bucket out. She then takes it off the hook.~ < Any news? >
< Salia > < Many, most not good. >
< Steph > < What's going on? > ~she lowers the bucket to the ground. Looks as if she is resting for a bit~
< Salia > ~steps up to the well to lower her own 'bucket'~ < The cave? When I went to meet up with a few others, we were interrupted by some unwelcome visitors... > ~purposely and unnoticed, leaves out a major detail of previous events~
< Steph > < Really? Did they find anything? >
< Salia > < No, but I found that they were afraid of fire... it was how we got out unharmed. >
< Steph > < Anything else? >
< Salia > < Other than we all need to get out of here.. no. >
< Steph > < What's going on? Where are we suppose to go? >
< Salia > < Shawn and I are going to Malna.. I am to meet him there for news of the far reaching areas.. The others, I don't know their plans > ~then adds~ < I shut down the communication writing I had with Shawn, just in case they return to attempt to decipher. >
< Steph > < Sounds like a good plan. And of course I shall also go to Malna, keeping my promise to your mother. > ~making it sound as if there was to be know argument~
< Salia > < Of course not. > ~she doesn't sound as if she was going to give one~ < I hope that we can stay there at least a bit longer than here... Shawn said there's several prospective members. > ~she pulls up her bucket slowly~
< Steph > < I hope so too, I hate doing all of this moving around. >
< Salia > < One day we won't have to worry about it. >
< Steph > < I hope you are right about that also. One day, things will be good again. > ~she picks up the bucket again~ < Where shall we meet? >
< Salia > < Shawn will find you, there's another place in that area that has been set aside for our meetings. >
< Steph > < ok, then, my your spirit animal guide you. >
< Salia > < And you. >
< Steph > ~she turns to leave, but then turns back~ < Salia? >
< Salia > < yes? >
< Steph > < This may sound bizarre, but I keep feeling that Elijah is near. Have you seen him? >
< Salia > < No... I'm afraid I haven't. > ~seems surprised, but hides it~
< Steph > < oh, ok. I guess it is just a mother wishing. I will see you again dear. > ~she walks back into the village.~
< Salia > ~finishes hauling up the bucket, even after losing a few feet from having let it up in surprise from what she had said. Grabs the bucket and walks back into the woods, where the bucket vanishes. Morphing to a falcon, she takes to the air, heading to Malna~
< Steph > ~stephanie heads for the other end of the town, having to walk to Malna~
< Salia > ~her own journey took most of two days before she settled into a tree outside of Malna as the falcon. She folds her wings, resting in the tree before she decides to venture into the town.~
< Elijah > ~on the other side of town, Elijah lands and short distance in a near by forest. He looks around, thinking of what he's next move will be~
< Raven > ~he hears a caw of a raven in a tree near him~
< Elijah > ~he looks up at it, thinking nothing. Ravens are a normal sight now a days. He shrugs, and looks away.~ *Next... hmmmm...*
< Raven > ~shuffles his wings, looking down at the new arrival~
< Elijah > ~he looks as if he pondering something, deeply~
< Raven > ~continues to watch carefully, as if he is trying to hear the newcomers thoughts, his wings flick a bit as if he is not sure what to think of him~
< Elijah > *Darrin wants Salia. I'm just to get her to him. How on Earth am I suppose to do that???*
< Raven > ~hops sideways along the branch, closer toward the tree trunk, his eyes never leaving the newcomer~
< Elijah > ~he shudders slightly. Feels some watching him, not sure, what to be looking for. He moves a few steps from the tree. He whispers under his breath.~ It's just a stupid raven, Elijah, get over it. ~he can't help but feel uneasy though.~
< Raven > ~caws again, clearly hearing him.~
< Elijah > ~looks surprised. Just stares blankly~
< Raven > ~clamps his beak shut as if he hadn't meant to speak, opens his wings, preparing to fly~
< Elijah > You are one of them aren't you.
< Raven > ~tilts his head a bit like any bird, hops a few steps away from the trunk, but doesn't take off quite yet, in hopes of convincing him that he is just another bird. Then he moves his head around to preen one wing~
< Elijah > ~shrugs~ Stupid bird.
< Raven > ~keeps preening, attempting to keep his feathers from bristling, clearly not liking the newcomer~
< Elijah > ~returns to his thoughts~
< Raven > ~turns his head back around, flapping wings once or twice, then taking off from the branch in the direction of town~
< Elijah > *DS is going to have my hide if I don't get this job done. But why family... the only family I have left.....* ~after several moments, a different type of bird flies above, just missing the raven. The falcon circles above before lighting into a tree nearby~
< Elijah > ~he watches it land.~ What is this bird day? I guess at least this one is prettier.
< Salia > ~it looks at him~ < You've seen other birds? >
< Elijah > A raven. Why?
< Salia > ~half opens her wings in a bird version of a shrug~ < Wondering... > ~after a quick glance of her surroundings, she morphs to her natural form, still sitting in the tree a few feet from Elijah~
< Elijah > ~looks at her strangely, but doesn't say anything.~
< Salia > Our contacts come in all forms ~she adds~
< Elijah > So it was one of you... I mean us....
< Salia > I would assume.. ~she looks to the sky as if to look for where the raven went~ I was supposed to meet up with him.. but I must have missed him. ~from her tone of voice, it sounds as if she hasn't seen him for a long time~
< Elijah > I thought there was something different about him, especially the way he keep looking at me.
< Salia > He's always on the look out for new recruits. ~she moves to a squatting position before dropping down from the branch to the ground, bending her knees to absorb the shock of the landing. Stands up, looking at Elijah~ Its part of the reason we move so much, to recruit others. As you would know, the more we have the better chances we have of standing against him. ~says 'him' with a hint of anger~
< Elijah > Who was he? He's eyes reminded me of someone... someone who used to watch me very closely... kind of like your mother, now that I think about it. ~he smiles remembering Irene, but then frowns, when he looks at Salia again.~
< Salia > His name's Shawn. ~with no notice that she is hiding anything more. Well rehearsed in introducing Shawn without letting on who he is.~
< Elijah > Ah, I'll have to remember that the next time, I see a raven staring at me. ~grins slightly~ So where are we headed?
< Salia > Nowhere hopefully.. we plan to stay here and teach the new ones. That was why I needed to meet up with Shawn.. to find out what we are going to do.
< Elijah > ah, ok. so now we wait.
< Salia > ~she looks at him, but says nothing on it~ I may have to go find him... he may have given up on me and went to find Stephanie..
< Elijah > Mom? ~sounds slightly surprised to hear her name~
< Salia > Yes, she is with us.
< Elijah > *oh, boy this is just getting harder and harder* She... doesn't know about me does she.....
< Salia > She senses you, but I gave no acknowledgement to it. I'm leaving that for you to do. She misses you, Elijah.. we are few.
< Elijah > I know, and I miss you both very much.... but it's not the right time. Not yet. ~he looks away, saddened~
< Salia > Why not? We are all here, would be a first for us all to be together, and it would brighten her day.
< Elijah > I know.... just not... yet... I'm not ready... ~he pauses~ Once, she sees me, she's going to want me to be by her side 24 hours all the time. I can't do that right know. I learning to much right, now.
< Salia > Learning what? ~almost sounds like she did a long time ago when she was only 10, curiosity in her voice, but with age experience, a hint of unease~
< Elijah > ~he thinks for a few minutes of what he should tell her. ~ About the enemy.... I'm this close ~he puts up and hand showing her his fingers on being few inches apart~ from finding out what's going to happen. What there main goal is? You know mom won't understand, even if she wants to beat him.
< Salia > I thought their main goal was obvious ~she frowns at this, her mother's seriousness mirrored on her face~
< Elijah > I mean, how they want to accomplish it. I know what their goal is but I want to know the plan, so we can stop it from ever happening. So we can be prepared. ~his voice is full of emotion now.~
< Salia > What have you learned so far then? Even the slightest bit of information can be helpful in even our current plans.
< Elijah > ~He sighs.~ All I know, right now is that they are after a few select few, to weaken the group. Names I don't know, but I have a feeling that you and mom are on, that list, now that I've met back up with you.
< Salia > Any of us could have told you that. I know who they want.
< Elijah > I know you do. They are on the move. They are headed to a town a couple of hours from here.
< Salia > Do you know the name?
< Elijah > Something like.... Prospero... something on that lines.
< Salia > ~she nods slightly, her eyes unfocusing slightly as if she is sending out a thought speech message~
< Elijah > ~he watches carefully but doesn't say anything~
< Salia > ~is quiet as she concentrates. All he can tell is that she is sending out a warning to several different places, but he can't tell where or whom~
< Elijah > *I wonder what kind of army she is forming now. Hopefully large, because the larger the better* ~smirks slightly~
< Salia > ~she puts her hand up to her head as if she has a headache, her eyes focused now, but briefly before unfocusing~
< Elijah > ~he frowns, and looks at her carefully, saying nothing~
< Salia > ~makes a sound like sucking in breath, then drops to her knees, keeping her hand to her head~
< Elijah > Salia, are you alright! ~he leans down to look at her~
< Salia > ~doesn't respond, is shaking slightly and the air seems to waver a bit around her~
< Elijah > Salia?! *ok, now what?*
< Salia > ~stops, she moves her hand slowly down, looking over at him, seemingly fine..~ lothria... ~drops all the way to the ground, unconscious~
< Elijah > ~Elijah drops to his knees, laying a hand on her back, not sure what do~ *Now what am I suppose to do????* Salia?
< Salia > ~no response~
< Elijah > Salia? Are you ok? Please answer? ~he sounds sincerely worried now. He sits down next to her. His closes his eyes, he has no other choice but to report. He closes his eyes, and goes into deep thought~
< Elijah > < DS, she is out. Strange she just passed out. Send whom every you wish, I do believe she will be out for sometime > ~ a few seconds later, a message is returned, but only Elijah can hear it. Whatever it is makes a grin cross his face.~
< Elijah > ~Elijah, stands up shaking the strange feeling from himself. Bends over and lifts Salia over his shoulder, and disappears.~ < Elijah > ~Elijah reappears in an area that looks like a cell. He sets her down, and leaves the cell, going to finish other business that he has to get done. Before leaving the whole area, he activates the cell. It seems to be an some kind of invisible force field. He grins and leaves the prison completely.~
< Salia > ~several hours later, she moans, and pushes her self up to a somewhat upright position, using her arms to prop herself up.. seems disoriented. shakes her head before looking up~ what? ~sits up quickly, looking around rapidly~ But I... ~she puts a hand to her head as if to calm raging thoughts~
< Salia > ~she stands up slowly, not entirely sure how she got there, then she freezes, if she is there, then what happened to Elijah~ Elijah? ~looking around worriedly~
< Salia > ~walks forward to get a better view of the outside, moving her hand in front of her to test the "walls"~
< Panther > ~the walls send sparks out and shock her, having her fly into the back wall.~
< Salia > ~she blinks slightly, shaking her hand~...okay don't touch the walls... ~a voice from the cell next to her says softly.~ No that would be a bad thing they kind of hurt. ~sounds slightly sarcastic.~
< Salia > I noticed... ~she moves to the side of the cell, enough distance between herself and the walls, toward the one who spoke~ And who are you?
< Nefna > ~Salia can't see the figure, for she is deep in the shadows.~ My name is Nefna. I've spent many years in this cell. Searching for a way out.
< Salia > I suppose it would be rather difficult.... ~looking at the walls themselves, or at least attempting to, as if to study them, and their structure~
< Nefna > Well, I've been her since I was a young girl. That was a hundred years ago. So I would say so. ~she says rather dryly.~
< Salia > May I inquire why you're in here?
< Nefna > I would tell you, but I don't know. Just like you, I awoke here, one strange day, long ago.
< Salia > hmm... I'm pretty sure I know why I'm here, provided I am correct as to who owns this prison... the how is the one in question..
< Nefna > You are right, about that. ~she says as if reading her thoughts.~
< Salia > I take it you know who I am then.
< Nefna > Yes, Salia, I have been watching. I knew eventually we would meet.
< Salia > Watching?
< Nefna > My mind is the only window to the outdoors that I have. I think DS thought is was a cruel joke, to leaving that one power the only one I could use.
< Salia > Do these cells keep us from performing magic? ~saying us as if she is referring to anyone who is within a cell~
< Nefna > Yes, of course the dark one, gets to choose what you can and can not do.
< Salia > I suppose that's understandable... ~says somewhat quietly, a small hint of worry on her voice~
< Nefna > Salia, don't worry, you won't have to stay in her as long as I have. You'll find a way to get out. Trust me. ~she says as if she knows everything.~
< Salia > Hopefully its the better way out... ~says somewhat flatly~
< Salia > ~after several minutes of silence, Salia had been thinking things over, she speaks up~ You said you were watching... why me? Or rather how did you know. ~doesn't seem quite sure how to phrase the question right~
< Nefna > ~there is silence from the darkness for a few minutes, and then...~ That I can not tell you, but you shall know soon enough.
< Salia > ~looks a bit confused, but doesn't say any more, returns to the front portion of the cell, still keeping her distance from the "wall", is studying the surroundings and of the cell~
< Nefna > I wish I could tell you more, but I can not, without the fear of telling you more than what I can... or should.
< Salia > ~looks back in that direction again, and nods slightly~ I understand what you mean... ~she turns back to the cell's field as if preparing to try something~
< Nefna > ~Nefna stands, but stays in the darkness, watching Salia carefully. A light swooshing sound can be heard.~ What are you thinking about doing?
< Salia > See if I still have my ability of persuasion. ~she looks at the force field itself, able to see it somewhat~
< Nefna > I guess there is only one way to find out. I know that one of the first things I tried. I wanted to know what I could do and what I couldn't. Don't be surprised if there isn't anything that you could do though, I've seen ones like that.
< Salia > ~nods slightly, beginning to concentrate on the field itself, or more specifically its atoms. In a soft, persuasive tone, speaking to the field itself~ That must be so boring, just moving around in a confined place.. you all seem like the type who wants to move, to expand.. ~she pauses~
< Nefna > ~forgetting the feeling of wanting to conceal herself, Nefna moves closer, out of the shadows, to see if anything is happening. Her blue skin, kind of shines in what little light there is. Her cat like tail raps around her body. She sees nothing.~
< Salia > ~completely engrossed in her work, continues~ You're all just buzzing with energy, I can feel it. Wouldn't it be great to just let go? There is so much space in this room that you could move about. Then you wouldn't be so constrained to a tiny place between your fellow brothers. ~she continues in this tone, speaking to the atoms of the field, in attempts to convince them~ Be nothing but solid, you are free to move about at will, you do have the choice, trust me. Try it and you will find its true.
< Field > ~there seems to be a slight movement, but not really noticeable to the naked eye.~
< Salia > ~continues, more encouraging but still soft and persuasive~ That's it, try harder and you're efforts will pay off. Freedom of space to expend that energy of yours without fear of hitting another and losing anything.
< Nefna > ~Nefna is standing on the ends of her toes, watching intently.~
< Salia > Break your bonds, enjoy the vast space that lies outside your small cramped domain..
< Field > ~suddenly, at her command, the atoms disperse, and the field disappears.~
< Nefna > ~a look of pure shock crosses, Nefna's face.~
< Salia > ~a brief tired smile crosses her face as she steps out of the cell. The moment she is out, she is looking about her to see if there is any guards~
< Nefna > ~Nefna goes over to where the field should of separated the two cells, she lifts her small blue hand up, she jerks it back suddenly~ Ow!
< Salia > ~looks back~ Those didn't go?
< Nefna > No, it doesn't matter. All that matters is that you are free.
< Salia > What about you?
< Nefna > I have been here long enough. I can stay here longer. Go!
< Salia > ~she hesitates a bit but then turns toward the doorway, setting up an invisible shield around herself before leaving~
< Nefna > Good-luck, Salia, we all you shall need it. ~she sighs~
< Salia > ~upon leaving the prison, she pauses to look at her options of directions and obsticles, keeping up her shield so that she is not seen by any passers-by~
< Desc > ~the hallway that she enters is dark, the only light that is seen come from small troches, a few feet from each other. The walls are made of gray stone.~
< Salia > ~walks down it at a little faster pace than normal, but keeps on high alert so that she doesn't run into anything or one~
< Desc > ~there doesn't seem to be a soul. This fact scares her more than anything.~
< Salia > *I don't like this.... deserted hallways? No guards... is there anyone even alive here?* ~she continues on, a bit quicker, hoping to run across some sort of control room. She eventually sees a room, or at least a branch off of the main hallway ahead, approaches it slowly~
< Desc > ~from that room there seems to be some kind of beeping in side, something that sounds some like a computer, or machine. ~
< Salia > ~enters the room cautiously, looking around for the source of the beeping~
< Desc > ~There are computer boards around her, but the beeping noise seems to come from the computer that is in the center of the room.~
< Salia > ~goes to it curious, also looking for possible wires to mess with, as well as a map or some indication of the locale. She stands next to the computer that's beeping, looking to see why it is doing so. She then notices some of the wires, and follows it to the source, ignoring the beeping for now. She kneels down next to the wires and places a hand on them. She concentrates on the group of wires, talking to them in thought speech~
< Voice > ~as if the wires are speaking to her.~ Well Salia, it's about time that you have arrived, we've been waiting for you.
< Salia > ~her concentration breaks, stares at the wires~ < huh? you don't speak.... > ~she stands up quickly~
< DS > No, the wires don't, but I do. ~the voice comes from the door way~
< Salia > ~looks in that direction, making quick tabs on if she had her shield up, which she does. Shows no emotion, but has frozen, having a feeling who is doing the speaking~
< DS > Now Salia, you know shields can’t get passed me. We've been there before. ~he laughs evilly~
< Salia > I suppose not..
< DS > ~a breeze passes by her.~
< Salia > ~she moves quickly forward more out of reaction than on purpose, she drops her shield, not wanting to waste the energy, knowing it does her no good~
< DS > ~the breeze passes her other side.~ Did you really think that you could get away from me?
< Salia > Perhaps, but I don’t see it as over yet. ~she suddenly takes off running toward the doorway, somewhat knowing its futile, but trying anyway. The air ripples rapidly in different directions in an attempt to distract him, it would seem as if she had moved any number of directions~
< DS > ~his anger blazes and can be felt in the air.~ Salia you will never get away! In the end you will die, just like your mother! ~he makes no attempt to go after her~ There's no use of wasting my energy on you know, I have other plans for you later.
< Salia > ~puts up her invisible shield again as she runs down the hallway, still away from the prison area. Stops after several minutes, breathing a bit hard, and surprised that she was not followed~ *Why didn't he come after me....* ~she attempts to teleport herself out of the area, a short jump, not wanting to try a long one~
< Salia > ~she frowns as nothing happens~ *Well one mystery solved... now what..* ~she starts moving again, not wanting to be still~ *If I'm stuck here I might as well find out the layout of this place...* ~Scene jump~
< Elijah > ~Elijah is sitting up against the same tree as before. His eyes are closed, and looks as if he is lost in thought.
< Figure > ~he hears someone approaching. A hooded humanoid is walking about the area, searching~
< Elijah > ~he opens his eyes, looking around. He doesn't stand up though.~
< Figure > ~notices him, and stops, as if not sure whether or not to approach him. Elijah can somewhat see his face, not recognizable, but the eyes remind him of that raven from earlier~
< Elijah > ~he stands up.~ Hello?
< Figure > ~he moves closer to him~ Greetings. ~appears to be young, around 13 years of age~ I don't suppose you've seen anyone else out here recently?
< Elijah > ~looks at him~ I talked to a girl, a few hours ago, but i haven't seen her sense.
< Figure > hmmm.... ~he looks a bit frustrated as if he's been searching awhile, a hint of worry as well~ You don't happen to know which way she went?
< Elijah > No, I left before she did. She told me she was waiting for someone. May I ask why?
< Figure > I was supposed to meet my friend here.. she was to wait for me.
< Elijah > strange..... I thought she said, if it is the same friend, that she was going to meet someone.
< Figure > What'd she look like?
< Elijah > Well I really don' t remember her physical features all that much. I do know that she was really worried and she paced a lot.
< Figure > ~smiles slightly~ Did she give a name?
< Elijah > um.. yes.. Salia
< Figure > ~nods~ Same person. May I ask who you are?
< Elijah > My name is Elijah. I would like to ask you the same?
< Shawn > I am Shawn. ~he seems a bit surprised, as if he knew of Elijah even though he never met him~
< Elijah > What? ~not sure what to make of his surprised look.~
< Shawn > I've heard Salia talk about you before...
< Elijah > Well, I guess that is a complement. Sadly she has only said a few things about you. The only thing I know is that you were the raven watching earlier.
< Shawn > Yes, not much is said about me. ~he seems to relax a bit~ It is best that way, keeps minds open to my recruiting.
< Elijah > Yes, I guess that would be a good thing.
< Shawn > ~he then frowns~ I hope nothing happened to her.. its unlike her to miss our meetings, so few that they are these days.
< Elijah > I don't think she would miss out it. But I think she can keep herself out of trouble, so I don't know where she would be at.
< Shawn > Did she say anything to you? Perhaps she had something else come up?
< Elijah > No not that I can remember. Maybe something suddenly came up
< Shawn > Maybe... ~he looks around at the area a bit, same as Salia, always on high alert~ I caught her message about the movement of the army, I take it the information came from you?
< Elijah > Yes. ~he nods, at him~
< Shawn > I hope you fair better than our last insider... but from what I've heard about you, you are very different from who we had.
< Elijah > Well I come from a strong family. I owe that to them.
< Shawn > That we do ~smiles slightly, purposely saying what he did~
< Elijah > we? ~he looks surprised~
< Shawn > Yes we. Salia didn't say?
< Elijah > Say what?
< Shawn > We are all relatives.
< Elijah > No she didn't.
< Shawn > ~nods~ If she is not here, I should get moving.. I still have other people to meet with.
< Elijah > ~nods in return.~ Understand. ~he watching him very closely. Maybe a tear can be seen~
< Shawn > Nice to meet you cousin, and I hope to see you again. ~he morphs to raven and takes off before Elijah can respond. He flies in the direction of town to seek out Stephanie~
< Elijah > Nice to meet you too. ~he sits back down, and closes his eyes once again.~ *Interesting, DS will be interested greatly in this one.*
< Shawn > ~the raven flies slowly above the town, looking about, searching~
< Steph > ~the street below seems busy, in a far corner of the town though. A woman sits alone, hidden within an alleyway~
< Shawn > ~he flies in that direction, perching on a building nearby within her sight, in highly guarded TS~ < There is a safer place for conversation. An empty building on the edge of town near here, I trust you've seen it > ~he flutters his wings slightly~
< Steph > < Yes, I will see you there in a few. > ~she doesn't look up, but moves down the alley way, trying to act normal.~
< Shawn > ~takes off from the building and flies toward the woods. Once there, he slides between and appears in the empty building shortly after. He is in his normal form, cloak in all. Making a few last minute security measures~
< Steph > ~Stephanie is standing in a corner, waiting.~ Hello, Shawn.
< Shawn > ~goes to her~ Greetings Aunt.
< Steph > ~she hugs him~ Have you talked to Salia?
< Shawn > No... she didn't show up. ~returning the hug, but had moved back a bit when he had spoke~
< Steph > ~looks slightly worried~ That doesn't sound like her.
< Shawn > I didn't sense any struggles in the area though... perhaps something came up that she needed to attend to.
< Steph > Maybe... but that still doesn't sound like her.
< Shawn > I had heard from her a few hours previous; I'm sure you got her message of the army's movements?
< Steph > Yes. ~she seems to be in thought.~ I got them, but then when I tried to communicate back with her, she would not answer.
< Shawn > What did you ask her? Perhaps that’s why she didn't respond....
< Steph > I just asked her where we were going to meet.
< Shawn > I had met up with someone who had seen her about that time.. from what he said she didn't seem to be in any kind of trouble.
< Steph > Strange... who was this somebody?
< Shawn > ~he pauses a bit, not entirely sure how to say it, then just says,~ Elijah.
< Steph > Elijah? ~her eyes light up~ you saw Elijah? He'd seen Salia? I knew I felt him near. What did he say? Where was he going? ~she seems to forgotten all about Salia disappearing`
< Shawn > Yes I saw him, and he had talked with Salia. That was pretty much all I got from him. I saw him in the woods near here.
< Steph > Is he still there? ~she seems to be heading for the door~
< Shawn > Yes... as far as I know.
< Steph > Good, I would love to see him! It's been oh, so long! ~Stephanie heads out of the building in the direction where Elijah had been, but when she reaches there she can not find him. She looks saddened, a tear silently streams down her face.~ Elijah? ~there is no answer~ ~Scene Jump~
< Salia > ~Salia wanders down another hallway, has been looking around for the last several hours. She returns to a spot where she thought she might try to escape. It was the only spot that seemed to be thin enough for her to check to see if the building was above ground. She stops in front of it, and places on hand on the side of the wall and speaks authoritively to its atoms to become nothing so that she may pass through~
< Wall > ~quickly and easily they part and she can see through to the outside.~
< Salia > ~she quickly goes through, saying a quick thanks to the wall and tells them to return~
< Wall > ~they return quickly, not wanting for anybody to see, she finds herself outside, in the same spot in which looks like where she was to meet Shawn.~
< Salia > ~she looks a bit surprised, but moves away from the building, not wanting to be near it~
< Steph > ~from behind a familiar voice says~ Salia? Where have you been dear?
< Salia > ~turns around quickly, surprised and a bit confused, she hesitates with answering~ I'm.... I'm not quite sure what happened... ~turns back to where she had came, as if expecting to see the building she had left~
< Steph > What do you mean? Did something happen? Are you ok? ~fear crosses her face~
< Salia > ~turning back to Steph~ I was sending out those messages about the army's movement.. but the next thing I remember was a cell...that I was trapped...
< Steph > A cell? How? who?
< Salia > I don't know how... but I discovered who ran the place quickly enough when I escaped the cell.
< Steph > him?!? ~her voice sounds like she is disgusted~
< Salia > yes...I don't like it.. ~glancing backward~ it was too easy to leave...
< Steph > Did he say anything to you?
< Salia > Not anything that would give a hint to why.
< Steph > Strange.... What about Elijah? Was he there? Did anything happen to him? Shawn says he meet with him up here and then when I came up here, he was no longer here.
< Salia > ~she pauses a bit~ Yes... I was talking to him right before I sent those messages, before I found myself in that cell... I don't know what happened to him either..
< Steph > oh.... ~she says nothing more, except.~ Dear, we need to get going. It will be dark, soon. Shawn is waiting for us.
< Salia > ~nods slowly~ Alright...
< Steph > ~heads back towards town.~
< Salia > ~follows her, quickly setting up her invisible shield again~ ~Time Jump~
< Desc > ~several years later, in a small village, a festival is being held. It is night time, Salia has been dancing, when suddenly out pops Elijah out, the confront each other, for sometime. In the end though it ends with a battle, sadly, Salia is on the losing side. She is now laying in the middle of the street. Everybody has the left the for the homes, on command of Elijah, who in the uniform of the dark one. It is now, early morning but still dark.~
< Figure > ~In the shadows, of the town, a figure moves toward the body lays in the street. The shadow, gently lifts it, and disappears into the shadows once again.~
< Salia > ~A few hours later, Salia, finds herself still alive, in a small cave, alone. She stirs painfully. Her wounds have been bandaged and cleaned~
< Salia > ~moans quietly, trying to keep as silent as possible while she attempts to sit up, but decides that's a bad idea, and stays down for dizziness clouded her mind. Looks around the room, and then attempts a short range TS, very faint,~ < hello? > ~nobody answers~
< Salia > ~bites her lip to keep from voicing pain from her attempted sigh, she lays still.~
< Figure > ~a few moments later. A cloaked figure, enters the cave. From the looks of the figure, you can tell it's female. She is caring a stack of logs. She looks in Salia's direction~ Oh, so you have awaken. ~she starts a fire.~ It's good to see that you are still alive, I thought I was going to lose you.
< Salia > ~smiles grimly~ Persistence does pay off... ~then she asks~ And who are you?
< Figure > ~she gets the fire started , and sits down on the other side of it from Salia.~ Oh so you don't remember me? No surprise I guess.. ~She takes the hood off over head, revealing a blue catlike face.~
< Salia > ~she stays quiet a bit as if trying to recall~ I remember you.... but not your name...
< Nefna > ~she smiles slightly.~ Nefna. ~she stirs the fire slightly~
< Salia > How.... weren’t you in that prison?
< Nefna > Yes, well. I have a slight confession to make about that. ~she pauses~ When you convinced those bonds to break. Well, I kind of lied about mine not breaking.
< Salia > Why?
< Nefna > I don't know. I guess, I'd been alone so long, I just wanted to be one my own. I didn't know who to trust, though I knew I could trust you. Well, to tell you the truth, I was surprised to see you in that cell that day. I really didn't know how to react to it. I thought it would be later that we'd met, not then. You had other things to do, before I entered your life. ~looks slightly confused about what she was saying~ If that truly made any sense.
< Salia > I think things happened strangely that day.... ~her voice is slightly hurt at this, making connections that finally make sense as to what had happened~ that weren't supposed to...
< Nefna > Yes, well... yes...~she to sounds sadden.~ And since that night, your future has completely changed, Salia. I was greatly surprised in what happens next... ~she stops, thinking that she has said to much.~
< Salia > ~looks at her curiously, but knows not to push. Shifts just slightly, but enough to send a wave a pain through her, again she muffles a cry by biting her lip~
< Nefna > Salia, rest, you will need your strength in your coming days. Please, I won't say another word. Just please, rest.
< Salia > ~nods slightly, closing her eyes. It doesn't take long for her to fall asleep due to her weakened state~
< Salia > ~after several hours, she awakes again~
< Nefna > ~is now sleeping, in sitting position, against the wall. Her tail his rapped around her body, almost as if she is using it for warmth. The fire has went out completely.~
< Salia > ~she looks over at the ashes of the ex-fire, thinking a bit and analyzing her strength, she prepares to speak to the ashes. After a few minutes, the ashes begin giving off heat as if the fire was still going, and will stay that way until Salia tells them otherwise. She promptly drops back into sleep~
< Salia > ~its not for another half day before Salia reawakens. Looking about the area again, checking to make sure that fire had obeyed her. It had, it was still going strongly.~
< Nefna > ~a voice from entrance, says as entering~ You build quite a fire.
< Salia > All they needed was a bit of encouragement ~smiles slightly~ Ashes are very friendly.
< Nefna > So you look like you feel better. ~she returns the smile.~
< Salia > Better than I did last time...
< Nefna > That's good to hear. Do you think you are well enough to move. I saw something this morning, that I didn't exactly like the feeling of.
< Salia > ~she sits up slowly, holding her breath slightly, but is able to bear it well enough to sit up.~ I think so...
< Nefna > Good, I will help you as much as possible, but once you get something to eat, we must be going. I have a horrible feeling. ~she points to some kind of carcass, roasting over the fire.~
< Salia > ~she doesn't seem to be to excited about the food, but figures she'd better take something. She moves to a standing position using the wall for balance, pauses there, allowing her body to adjust to standing~
< Nefna > Are you sure that you will be alright? ~Nefna, looks slightly nervous~
< Salia > Yes I'll be fine enough to move... ~she doesn't seem to want to stick around there either, now picking up on Nefna's nervousness. After a very small meal, she is ready, looking back at Nefna~
< Nefna > ~Nefna hasn't taken her eyes of Salia~ Are you ready?
< Salia > Just about.. ~she looks at the ashes, and out loud says a few brief Nathadian words and they dim and return to their normal state~ Now I'm ready. ~she stands up slowly again~
< Nefna > Ok, lets go. ~she quickly heads for the entrance, putting up a shield at the same time.~
< Salia > ~follows her, for now, able to keep up~
< Nefna > ~Nefna, making sure that Salia is close behind, heads up a steep cliff, towards the top of the mountain. The journey is long, and hard, but is the only way to safety. All the other roads are blocked.~
< Salia > ~keeps up the best she can, but the further they go the slower she gets~
< Nefna > ~she turns, toward, Salia, and sees that she is hurting, and running low on energy. She stops, and concentrates for a few minutes, allowing herself to zone out for a few seconds. She comes back to~ You can rest here, I will concentrate on the shield, while you regain your energy. They are many miles down, and will not find us, for a couple of hours.~
< Salia > ~nods, and lowers herself slowly to sit on the ground near a tree, using it as a back rest. She stays silent as if thinking over something or concentrating on something other than pain~
< Nefna > ~Nefna, concentrates hard on the things around her, it seems as if she can see all the way around her, for she never turns her head, or body. Suddenly, she snaps to attention. ~ We must go again, they are moving faster then what I thought.
< Salia > ~she looks up at her~ I may be able to move faster in morph... but I do not know which would be the best to use.
< Nefna > ~thinks for a moment~ I think the Catsi would be best, do you think you have the energy to fly?
< Salia > For four hours in another form I am as good as new... ~she already begins to morph to the catsi, a much longer process than usual~
< Nefna > ~Nefna returns to watching her post while Salia morphs, she looks nervous this time~
< Salia > ~once done she walks to Nefna, her wings partially unfolded~
< Nefna > ~Looks at her, nods, and climbs on without asking.~ Let's get out of her. ~says as if almost slipping out of character.~
< Salia > ~a few running steps and she leaps up into the air wings flapping for altitude. She keeps low within the trees, flying in the direction that they were originally heading until told otherwise~
< Nefna > For now, just keep flying. I don't quite know where safe is yet. ~she sounds slightly tense.~
< Salia > Alright. ~early in the four hour limit she sounds as if nothing had happened to her, her speed is normal for the catsi. Her ears swivel constantly, on the alert for anything or anyone that would affect her flight path~
< Nefna > ~Nefna, once again has went into herself, and is concentrating. She is searching. Suddenly, arrows start flying the direction of they two in the sky. One hits Nefna. She scream in pain, automatically brought out of her thoughts.~
< Salia > ~she attempts to dodge the best she can, pumps her wings for extra speed and moves upward, higher into the branches of the trees. She keeps her concentration now in front of her so as to not run into anything~
< Nefna > ~She can barely hang on, all of her strength is used in stay on Salia's back. She uses her tail for extra grip. Arrows are still flying around her head.~
< Salia > < Are they above us? > ~says in private TS~
< Nefna > ~she looks up.~ No. They are only on the land. ~she rasp, her grip tightens~
< Salia > < Then hang on... > ~after a few seconds, she darts straight upward, going through the tree tops, and flies above them, once leveled, uses all her strength in moving forward as fast as she is able~ < If they have slow transportation we should be able to outrun them. > ~catsi are very quick~
< Nefna > < I hope you right. Finally! The only safe place right now for us is... >~she sounds like she gasping.~ < The haunted forest? > ~starting to regain energy, but still in pain, she regains her balance.~ < Supposedly, it's not technically in our world, so we should be safe, from the people her. Though my sources can't promise that we'll be safe from the things there. >
< Salia > < How do we get there? >
< Nefna > ~she is silent for a few seconds~ < It's a few hours, by flight from her. You head into those clouds over there, and on the other side, should be two giant mountains, then you fly in-between the two, and it should be in the valley there. Do you think you are up to it? >
< Salia > < That depends on if we get there within 4 hours or not... perhaps we should find a temporary place here before trying it... > ~she turns her head slightly to look back at her~
< Nefna > < Do you know of any place, I'm not to familiar with this world? >
< Salia > < I'm not entirely sure I've been in this area before... > ~she looks back down at the ground below them~ < So do we just take are chances? > ~again sounds slightly nervous, but is trying hard to cover it.~
< Salia > < We're going to have to... I might be able to make it there, but I would have only enough energy to morph back and would be of no use after that. >
< Nefna > < That would not be good. I think we should be fine, now, anyways from those back there. It will take them days, to catch up >
< Salia > < Provided they have no magical assistance. >
< Nefna > < Yeah... well... I don't think they will be getting any of that, because, they have failed there task. DS will be very angry with them. I don't think they will be after us anytime soon >
< Salia > ~doesn't say any more, is looking about the area for anything, has veered slightly to the left so as not to have a straight flight path~
< Salia > ~after about an hour and half worth of flying in silence~ < I think I see something that we can use. > ~has already begun to descend into the trees~
< Nefna > ~Nefna looks down, scanning the area.~ < Well, as long as we can get some rest for a few seconds, that's all the matters. >
< Salia > ~she lands in front of a cave hidden in behind some brush~ < I hope its longer than a few seconds... > ~her wings lower to the ground~
< Nefna > ~Nefna, climbs off.~ I do too, but I'm a realist. ~she shudders at a thought.~
< Salia >< What? > ~looks at her curiously~
< Nefna > Huh?
< Salia > < Something seemed to have bothered you. >
< Nefna > Well, DS is after me... that's what's bothering me. I know to much. ~she shudders again.~
< Salia > ~she freezes at a thought of her own,~ < I don't know how realistic it could be, but you had told me that he had allowed you your 'sight' in that cell... could he see what you saw, and would he still be able to? >
< Nefna > Well, I think that's what got me into trouble. I got into watching a couple of his followers. ~sighs~
< Salia > < So he can see what he'd allowed you too? >
< Nefna > I suppose so. When he tried to kill me, he said I knew to much. So that would be my guess.
< Salia > < But would that still be true now? Do you get what I'm alluding to? >
< Nefna > No. ~looks slightly confused~
< Salia > < If he could see through you before, what would stop him from doing it now? >
< Nefna > Oh. ~thinks for a moment.~ I think it's because, I'm not trying to see something else. I'm just talking to you. I don't think he can see anything else. I don't think....
< Salia > < What I meant by now I mean recently... might be something you should keep in mind. I don't think they'll be too pleased to know I'm still alive... I'd like to let them continue to think I'm dead. >
< Nefna > Yeah, well. I plan on keeping that secret. I won't use my powers, to look at anything. I don't want to hurt you.
< Salia > ~she moves back a few of the branches in front of the cave to allow Nefna to pass through~ < I'll see what I can do about hiding this entrance. >
< Nefna > ~enters~ sounds good. ~she seems slightly nervous, but is trying really hard to cover it, she keeps looking over her shoulder as if someone is watching her~
< Salia > < Is there someone there > ~she lifts her head, looking in that direction, her tail flicking~
< Nefna > I don't know. I don't sense anybody. I just keep getting this weird feeling. I can't explain it.
< Salia > < Standing out here will do us no good >
< Nefna > yes you are right. ~continues entering.~
< Salia > ~she stands by the entrance as Nefna enters, her eyes closed. She walks into the cave, letting the leaves fall back over the now tree trunk... or at least to those passing by it will be a tree trunk~
< Salia > ~upon entering she morphs slowly back to her natural form, making sure she is next to the wall to use it as support once she has fully morphed. She sits down slowly, applying pressure to her bandage with her left hand as she does so~
< Nefna > ~nefna, sits down, not saying anything, just looks around quietly~
< Salia > ~has her eyes closed, though its not sure if she's sleeping or if she is just got her eyes closed~
< Nefna > ~leans back against the wall, goes into a half sleep, to conserve energy~
< Salia > ~time passes. Is now definitely asleep~
< Nefna > ~nefna, is still half asleep keeping track of things outside.~
< Elijah > ~ a few miles away, in a near by town. Elijah is standing, on the hillside looking in~ *Only a few more things to complete. Salia is gone. I still have Shawn and my mother, but they can wait. If I don't find that girl, DS is going to kill me.* ~sounds both confidante in his deeds, and is also nervous~
< Shawn > ~wings flapping can be heard on the wind~
< Elijah > ~Elijah, comes out of his thoughts, and turns to see where the bird is coming from~
< Shawn > ~a raven flies out from the forest above him, it practically halts in mid-air when it spots him. It turns and lands in a nearby branch. The bird is breathing hard as if it has been flying a long time~
< Elijah > ~looks at it casually~ Are you alright?
< Shawn > < Yeah....eventually > ~his voice sounds tired~ < I'm glad I found you.. I haven't heard from anyone... I've tried to contact Salia, but she won't answer. >
< Elijah > I don't think you be getting answer anytime soon Shawn. ~he looks sad. He lowers his head~
< Shawn > < What happened? > ~he nearly demanded, hopping from foot to foot on the branch out of nervousness~
< Elijah > She went to the festival, in the town that she was staying at. The army was there.... She was killed. I'm sorry Shawn.
< Shawn > ~he's dead silent as well as still.~
< Elijah > ~watches him, carefully, but doesn't say anything~
< Shawn > ~he shakes his head as if to comprehend what he just heard. He opens his wings to leave silently~
< Elijah > Where are you going? ~he says before he leaves.~
< Shawn > < I.... > ~he stops, trying again,~ < Elsewhere..... > ~his voice is pained~
< Elijah > oh, ok.... well, remember I'll be around if you need anybody to talk to.
< Shawn > ~he nods slowly, then takes off from the tree, heading the way he had came from~
< Elijah > ~smirks evilly~ Yes, that was a wonderful response, Shawn. Just remember, you'll be one of the next...
< Shawn > ~Elijah hears a bird's shriek from the distance~
< Elijah > ~turns to look in the direction, but can not see it. Smiles again.
< Stephanie > ~outside of the cave in which Salia, and Nefna are in. Stephanie, walks, in search of what she does not now. Her mind is lost in thought, and she feels along in the world.~ *Salia is gone, and Elijah might as well be. I can't be live she is dead, I can't believe it... I can't believe that he killed her. Why? Why? i don' t understand wasn't I a good mother. Didn't I raise my son on the side of light? Why is he now on the side of dark? What did I do wrong?*
< Nefna > ~Inside the cave, Nefna, sets up straight. Sensing something outside. She sucks in her breath nervously.~
< Salia > ~Salia is still asleep, oblivious~
< Nefna > ~moves closer to the door. Listening carefully. She hears nothing, but can feel that something is out there. Finally she hears some quiet footsteps in the distance.~ *what is it?* ~she looks through the branches to see. Through the branches, she sees a small women, who looks distressed. She looks of no harm~
< Steph > ~Stephanie moves closer towards the cave. Nefna moves back, not wanting her to see her.~
< Nefna > ~she shakes Salia~ Someone is coming.
< Salia > ~she moans slightly, more out of pain than anything.. it takes her a bit before she finally opens her eyes. Looks at Nefna~ what?
< Nefna > There is someone outside the cave. I think she is heading in this direction. ~she is whispering.~
< Salia > ~also has her voice down~ Then she will see nothing but a tree trunk in place of our cave.. ~doesn't seem to be as alert as she was earlier that day, as if the travel had set her back.~
< Nefna > I don't know, she looks familiar. I know, I've seen her somewhere. I just can't place her face. Maybe she is a magic user, and can move the trees also. ~sounds very scared for some odd reason.~
< Salia > I don't really see a reason why one would randomly remove trees... besides, its not really a tree, thus cannot be moved. ~her tone is unconcerned and flat~
< Steph > ~outside Stephanie is still blaming herself for what has happened. She sits down on a rock, right next to entrance. She tries to lean up against the tree, but falls with a load thump. ~ What the heck. ~she seems to be sitting right in the middle of the tree. Tt seems to almost shimmer behind her, where the cave entrance is, in fact she is sitting at the mouth of the cave, which she will discover when looking at it long enough. She pulls herself to her knees. She puts her hand through the tree trunk~ Strange. Someone must be hiding something.... ~she pokes her head through the trunk, seeing the cave entrance.~ Interesting. ~she moves closer in.~
< Salia > ~Salia seems to be losing hold of consciousness, as if she was really tired~
< Nefna > ~Nefna, moves behind a rock, not wanting to see what is coming.~
< Steph > ~not hearing anything. Stephanie stands up and enters the cave. She looks around... as her eyes wander, the fall on Salia's half-asleep body.~ Salia?!?!?!?!?
< Salia > ~she jerks awake again hearing a familiar but different voice. This is followed by a gasp of pain. Her left hand moving to her bandages. She looks up, her voice slightly wavering,~ Aunt?
< Steph > ~she quickly moves to here side.~ Salia you are still alive, oh, gracious. thank goodness! Are you alright?
< Salia > I don't feel alright....
< Nefna > ~Nefna, stays behind the rock still unsure, but watches Stephanie, making sure she doesn't do anything to Salia~
< Steph > Dear, it's ok. Lay down, and continue sleeping. I want you to rest, we shall talk later.
< Salia > ~Salia gives no complaint as she closes her eyes again~
< Nefna > ~Nefna's long body, doesn't fit very well in the tight corner that she had crawled in, so she falls off the rock that she has been perched on.~ Owf...
< Steph > ~Stephanie turns in surprise. ~ Hello.
< Nefna > ~Nefna's eyes are very large, she doesn't say anything.~
< Steph > Who are you?
< Nefna > ~she just looks at her startled.~
< Salia > ~shifts slightly, but makes no noise~
< Steph > ~Stephanie turns back to Salia, watching her carefully. She sees the wound, knowing that she needs to get some help somewhere.~ I wish Irene were here. ~she mutters under her breath.~
< Nefna > ~Nefna moves closer but still doesn't say anything.~
< Steph > ~Stephanie isn't paying any attention, she is thinking deeply~
< Salia > ~doesn't seem to be resting well, but doesn't look like she'll wake either~
< Nefna > ~Nefna, moves closer placing a hand on her. She seems to calm down. ~
< Steph > ~Stephanie slightly flinches~
< Nefna > It is alright, I am a friend.
< Stephanie > ~nods~ And I am family. My name is Stephanie.
< Nefna > Nefna
< Steph > We have to find a way to help her? If I only new someone who has healing powers that's here on Earth.
< Steph > ~a few hours later, Stephanie has left Nefna, with Salia. She heads down to the village, looking for some one to ask a question.~
< Storyteller > ~there is an older women sitting in the village's center, she had just finished telling a story to a bunch of the kids. they are now scattering from her, chattering rapidly about her story. Already beginning to twist its tale with their own elaborations~
< Steph > ~Steph walks through a large group to see what kind of story had been told~
< Storyteller > ~other than an adventure story of some kind, its hard to figure out. the woman smiles as she watches the children leave.~
< Steph > ~Stephanie moves over, sitting a few feet from the women, thinking maybe she'll talk to her~
< ST > ~notices her, looking up~ Good day.
< Steph > ~she smiles~ Hi. It's such a lovely day.
< ST > ay, that it is. ~after looking around at the sky, she looks over at her~ I don't recall seeing you around these parts, new I take it?
< Steph > Actually I'm just traveling through. I was looking for someone who could help my niece. She was hurt in the mountains. ~silently praying for her to be able to help~
< ST > hmmm, lets see. I may be able to direct you to someone. I cannot myself, I'm just a story teller. But there is a healer in the next town over. He's a bit reclusive, but then who wouldn't be now a days.
< Steph > Could you? Where exactly could I found him? ~she sounds demanding~
< ST > You'll take the main path out of here heading south. You'll have to go through town to the other side where he lives in the woods. its not too difficult to find and anyone there can point it out to you.
< Steph > ~she jumps up quickly~ Thank you very much. ~and she heads back towards were Salia is located.~
