Staples and the Kids in the Way are the newest artists signed to Flicker Records and their is another one in the wings, but I can't sy who it is at this time.

Got an update on the new Pillar EP! On November 18, 2003, Pillar will be releasing the Broken Down EP. This EP is specifically for all our fans who have been a constant encouragement to us. Fireproof was originally released in May 2002 (Flicker) and then re-released June 2003 (Geffen). Since the wait for the next full length Pillar album has been lengthy they thought they would give fans something to help pass the time. The Broken Down EP will feature an all new Pillar song. This is the first song written and recorded with new drummer Lester. If you thought the songs on the Fireproof album were good and hard rocking wait until you hear this song. The band is in the studio right now finishing this song up. They haven’t even decided upon a name for it yet. The EP also features an in-studio acoustic recording of "Further" with guest Tyler Burkum of Audio Adrenaline on guitar. They might even bring in a quartet just for fun. In September, Pillar will be performing a live acoustic set in Tulsa, OK. During that live event the band will be recording the acoustic performances of "Fireproof", "A Shame", "Light at my Feet", "Further", and maybe even "Father" (they are thinking about it). The live acoustic songs on the EP will be recorded in surround sound. During that live acoustic performance Pillar will also be filming a music video for the acoustic version of "Further". This event will be open to all Pillar fans. It will happen September 17 in Tulsa, OK. The band is also talking the record company into making the EP enhanced (computer friendly). The computer accessible section will include the "Further" Video, a huge live picture gallery, and commentary from Rob about the meaning of each song on the EP. The Pillar Broken Down EP will be available wherever music is sold for around $7.99.

Kutless has just finished up some initial work on their sophomore release Sea of Faces due out February 24, 2004! They left the studio to head out on Festival Con Dios and will return to Seattle, WA to finish up their album November. I can tell you I have heard the first song to be completed called Passion and it is really good!

Paul Wright is a new artist on Gotee records, but those who picked up the new !Hero: The Rock Opera project have already caught a glimpse of what to expect from this new EP releasing next week. As of next week, you will be able to plug The Paul Wright EP into your computer to watch "Looking For Mr. Wright," a 12 week online TV series allowing you to get a behind the scenes look at the curiously funny life of Paul Wright. A new "webisode" will air every Tuesday beginning on 9/16 and concluding on 12/02/03, which is the day that Paul's full length debut album Fly Away hits stores. Meanwhile, click the link to hear his music: http://www.gotee.com/paulwright/ecard/

Paul from Earthsuit offered this update this week on the status of the second and final Earthsuit release... "The earthsuit CD is coming along great, but we are still waiting for clearances on some of the music we want to include. The title of the CD is The Rise of Modern Simulation and we are still hoping to have it available by October 8th."
