Thank you Lord
For all you do
For every day
You help me through.
Thank you Lord
That I can give you theglory
For everything you do for me -
And that your word isn't just some story.
Thank you Lord
For giving us your son
So our sins might be forgiven
And eternal life is won.
Thank you Lord
That I can give you all my fears
And you'll listen, and help me
Gently wiping away my tears.
All silent, deep in prayer
I sought my Lord.
Though I never said a word
I know he heard.
For while my spirit whispered many things
His angels touched me, with their wings.
I look for reassurance and to see
If how i believe
Is the true reality
For as i cope with all the problems
Each day brings
His angels touched me, with their wings.
When i read his word
The scriptures show
The steep and narrow way
My Lord would have me go.
And though my feet bleed
My heart still sings
His angels touched me, with their wings.
I want to know where this road leads me
And who can answer my questions to set me free
Then i met this man named Jesus from Galilee
He told me of my destiny.
He said only he knew the answers
Of all that laid heavily on my heart
And only from him such knowledge can impart
He said he was the master key
To which unlocks my destiny.
There in my quest for righteousness
He told me of his great goodness
To which the doorway is holiness.
