Winter Wonderland
(Playing ~"Winter Wonderland")

Join me in a celebration of the beauty of Winter ...... beautiful snows,
the holiday season and our joy in the life given to us by our Creator.

"Thou hast set all the borders of the earth: Thou hast made Summer and Winter."
~ Psalm 74:17

Falling Snow

See the pretty snowflakes
Falling from the sky;
On the wall and housetops
Soft and thick they lie.
On the window ledges,
On the branches bare;
Now how fast they gather,
Filling all the air.

Look into the garden,
Where the grass was green;
Covered by the snowflakes,
Not a blade is seen.

Now the bare black bushes
All look soft and white,
Every twig is laden, --
What a pretty sight!

~~~
Snow
Surprise! It's snow.
Even the weather man didn't know.
Clouds stole the sun,
A plot to make way for winter fun.
"Look," cried a flurry of flakes passing by.
"No sun! Here's our chance.
Let's dance in the sky!"
Winter Wonderland
Over the ground lies a mantel of white
A heaven of diamonds
Shine down through the night
Two hearts are thrilling
In spite of the chilling weather . . .
Sleigh bells ring, are you listening
In the lane, snow is glistening
A beautiful sight, we’re happy tonight
Walking in a winter wonderland
Gone away is the bluebird
Here to stay is a new bird
He sings a love song, as we go along
Walking in a winter wonderland
In the meadow we can build a snowman
And pretend that he is Parson Brown
He’ll say, are you married, we’ll say, no man
But you can do the job while you’re in town
Later on we’ll conspire
As we dream by the fire
To face unafraid the plans that we made
Walking in a winter wonderland
Snow Song
I like to walk on fresh fallen snow,
The kind that whispers and speaks.
It sings a song as I walk along
With crackles and scrunches and squeaks.
~~~

Snow

The snow fell softly all the night
It made a blanket soft and white.
It covered houses, flowers and ground,
But did not make a single sound.

~~~
Snowflakes
I like snowflakes.
Ask me why. Why?
Because they fall from the sky,
Because they seem to dance and fly,
Because they pile up so high,
Because they are so white and dry.
Because they melt in my hand,
Because they're quiet when they land.
Because, because, because,
That' why I like snowflakes!
