Chattanooga High School
57th Reunion, Class of 1946
October 3-4, 2003

(Playing ~ "Tuxedo Junction")

It was indeed another successful and enjoyable reunion .... this, the 57th for the Class of 1946. We arrived thinking this would be
the "swan song" but left with tentative plans for yet another reunion as it became obvious that no one was ready to "throw in the towel."
So it now appears we will continue our reunions until we reach that point where ... "the last one leaving turns out the light."

There were 65 reservations with a few not able to attend. 59 were present on Friday night and 63 on Saturday night. 41 of those
were classmates; the others being spouses/friends. Of the 41, 23 live locally and 18 were from out of town. The majority of
those present Saturday evening decided, by a show of hands after discussions, that we should meet again in three years for our 60th.

The weather was just about perfect ... cool and crisp. Our Reunion Committee once again had planned enjoyable events for both
Friday and Saturday evenings. Many had expressed a desire not to have the Saturday picnic this time, and it was nice to have free
time to visit with family and friends; also ........ as I heard one classmate mention ....... time to rest!

Friday night we had a wonderful barbecue at the Heritage Landing Club House catered by Sticky Fingers! It was a perfect
place for our group, and the barbecue with all the trimmings was delicious! (Most everyone stayed around
spending time talking with classmates. This was true also on Saturday evening.)

Saturday evening's event was at the Walden Club, atop Republic Center, where we also gathered two years ago. The food
.... heavy hors d'oeuvres .... was wonderful as usual. We all enjoyed the music of "our day" by the Jim Wilson Band, and
many took advantage of this opportunity on the dance floor.

The new directories for our class, which Celeste had spent so much time diligently working on, were given out. They were
to be mailed to those not at the reunion. Celeste had personal conflicts and was sorely missed this year.

Our reunion committee posed for a picture on Saturday evening at the Walden Club .....
