Franco and Sylvia's Cooking Class |

Franco
and Sylvia ran a restaurant in Naples frequented by many American
military members. When it closed they began the class at the
request of some of those stationed in Naples.
There is no advertising, information gets out by word of mouth as people invite their friends and colleagues to join them. An e-mail is circulated each week to advise of the menu and cost. You must RSVP to insure you have a place. It is on a first come first served basis. |
||
| Franco
passed away in 2002. Everyone agreed to keep the classes
going. His name remains on the recipes and cookbooks.
Each week Sylvia prepares the dishes for the evening. As she does, she explains what to use and how to cook it. The instructions are all given in Italian. |

Those
who can, will interpret as we go. Lynda would not be one of
them! It is a great way to learn a few new Italian words.
The demonstration is based on dinner for 4-5 people. All the while Sylvia and her family are preparing it in larger portions to serve to our group. |
||
| If
you have a favorite dish at your local restaurant she will include it in
the menu line up and show you how to make it.
Following the demonstration we all sit down to enjoy the dishes prepared and to catch up on what is happening in each others lives. |
