Fighting The War on Tobacco

About The Brother L.C

"I Smoked"

When you smoke, I smoke thats why I cough and choke.
Off the chemicals mixed with tobacco smoke.
Like copper, silver, gold, and silicon.
zinc, nickel, lead, and acetone.
negative effects bleeding gums shortness of breathe
you puffing suicide, take on a slow death.
Candle wax, camoflauge as kiwi strawberry.
silver in a pack, covered as blueberry.
Rocket fuel, insecticides, vinegar, inhaling glue.
mercury from secondhand, tobacco smoke is killing you.
Buy a pack- put you on your back- do you end
from mothballs, nictoine, disinfectant.
Now look at shorty think he cool.... wilding up in school.
puffin on a Ci looking like a fool.
He had a date with one girl but she had to split
He lit up a smoke and he smoked and it made her sick
Funky Breath, ashtray lips, she gave him a Dis.
you smell like a butt. that why you get no kiss.
so repeat after me it Kick butt day
do your lungs a favor. and throw'em away.
Chorus: Do your lungs a favor, It's kick butt day
Do your lungs a favor , and throw'em away
(2x)

Health Mastery: Healthy Hiphop!

What's the Truth about health as it pertains to
Hiphop? The Truth is that we ARE the chemicals,
foods, and drinks we put into our body. We must be
conscious of what we take into our bodies. As
human beings, our bodily energy is dependent
on the proper functioning of all our
organs and our biochemistry.Instead of
consuming items that have a potential harmful affect
on our body, sometimes it is important for
us to step back for a minute and say,
"Is this taste, buzz, pleasure, or instant satisfaction worth the potential damage of my body, sickness, mental disease, and even death?"
The Truth is that nothing tastes as good as FEELING GOOD FEELS!

For many years, Hiphop has been viewed as culture of
hopelessness and chaos, with deaths ranging
from murder to disease. The Truth is that
Hiphop is evolving with more and more
dynamic artists, advocates, and leaders encouraging
us to be more responsible for our mental as well
as physical health. More and more Hiphoppas
are advocating healthy lifestyles that
promote our overall well being and peak performance.
How can we rock a party with f***ed up lungs??
How can we tour, write books, and put out albums if we are sick and bedridden.
Healthy Hiphoppas thrive off of energy, enthusiasm, stamina,
and inner POWER!!!! WE don't die, WE MULTIPLY!!!

Not only is optimum health becoming a priority by
those who see Hiphop as a Kulture of Peace and
Prosperity, it is becoming more and more cool to have
right fitness. The flyest Hiphop artists are
those with the energy to represent their
style and walk in strength and vibrancy.
You might see drunk or high artists with addictions performing.
They ain't movin' no crowd. We've
been to venues with artists slobbering over liquor
bottles, mindlessesly groping for ***tches, smoking whatever whenever. We've also been
to venues, with artists who are so hype and
energetic that the audiences FEELS THE ENERGY
and walks out of that venue satisfied and
ready to face the difficulties of life with positive memories.
Rather than escape from problems with substance abuse,
a lot of artists face the difficulty of life with inner strength and will power.
It is physically impossible to be at
peak levels of moving people in Hiphop when you're f***ed up!

One expert we will be working with on issues
pertaining to substance abuse in the music industry
is Leonard Cannaday a.k.a. "The Brother LC."
Not only does this brother "Kick the Truth to the young black youth,"
he has experienced and witnessed a lot in his life regarding the streets,
substance abuse, and harmful lifestyles. His wisdom is priceless.
His survival and his message continues to serve others and inspire our youth
to protect their bodies, minds, and souls from toxic substances and more importantly false
messages promoted by mainstream media outlets.
Because of the money driven music industry, many
leaders like "The Brother LC" don't get as much
shine, and their message is not readily visible to
the mainstream pop culture, which is more obsessed with greed, sex, violence, and death.
"The Brother LC" IS Hiphop.
If you need a speaker on health issues that affect Hiphoppas
and how to educate the youth in our language about healthy lifestyle choices,
"The Brother LC" is the man to see.
Mad respect and big ups to a Healthy Hiphop Hero!
