What is Imē Dance Center
Imē ( I am ME) Dance Center is a new dance training facility here in Eugene. IME stands for Inspirational Movement Education, as well as literally saying " I am Me." To dance is to express, to create, to innovate, to have a voice, and most importantly, to be yourself. This is our mission here at imé, to inspire and educated dancers with the highest quality training, technique, and performance opportunities, being Eugene's premier training center for the aspiring professional dancer.
Imé focuses on urban dance forms: Hip Hop, Tap, and Jazz, as well as incorporating Lyrical styles and dance conditioning. Imē is also the home of the Phenomenon Hip Hop Dance Company, and The Emerald City All Stars Competitive Dance Team.
What Makes Imē Dance Center Different?
Its focus on the professional world of dance. Imē brings in master teachers from beyond Eugene, bringing in opportunities for dancers to train, to be seen, and to work professionally in other places. In addition, Imē is also the official training facility to become a member of the Phenomenon Dance Company.
