The Car and Automotive Manufacturers of the world are always and constantly changing. It has taken me quite a while to get this list correct and even now it has probably changed. If you do see some mistakes or manufacturers that I have missed please email me, so I can further research it and update this list. I set it up so that the manufacturers are in aphabetical order on the left. The manufacturers who are owned by other manufacturers are to the right of their owners. The owners of multiple manufacturers are in bold as well. Soon I will try to give years and countries of origin for the manufacturers, but it may take a while. I was also thinking of making each entry a link to that manufacturers web page.

* - Some companies have shares in other companies but do not have anything to do with running that manufacturer. The relations here are Ferrari/Fiat, Subaru/Toyota, Suzuki/GM, and Mazda/Ford. Most of these companies have a board of directors for themselves that run the production lines of that company.
** - Daimler-Chrysler has two branches one is the Mercedes-Benz branch and the other is the Chrysler branch.
