"Interview with a vampire"

Brotha Naturally Superior of G.A.M.E.

.Defining the name. It started off back in 90 when I changed my name from Paradise (being that it was taken) to Nature Boy. I always felt a earthly, natural connection with hip hop. No matter how you flip it; "Nature Boy", "Brother Nature","Natural Brother" it all connects man with being "pure". As Nature Boy, my fellow group member Legal C. said "you should do a song called "Brotha Nature". I said "I'll do one better, that's my new name". After that sudden contact buzz from the new name, I would then fully intoxicate myself with it until I reeked and personified it's meaning. It meant he who brings hip hop to life as mother nature does earthly things. He is the light, he is man in his purest form. Life experiences as well as taste for different styles of music would influence multiple personalities. Instead of confusing the loyal followers of Brotha Nature, he assigned an alias to each of them.

THE BROTHA NATURE PHILIOSOPHY

we Aquariuss' are ahead of our time and are often overlooked. I think Rakim and Dr. Dre are perfect examples of aquariuss' who where ahead of their time with either beats or rhymes. You can listen to their work from 10 or 15 years ago and say "whoa, that's still heat".We can come off too advanced for mediocre people and leave them either confused or intimidated. I've done things in the past in music and life in general that my peers didn't understand. Now they look back at that event or song and say "you was tight for that. For 2000 to be the dawn of the aquarius, that's a sign that hip hop may be ready for myself andV.E.N.O.M.O.U.S. P.I.T.S.. venomous pits consists of myself and A.J. Yo II Faced Rippa. We are dedicated to invading the game with something different as well as stimulating. I look at it from a salesman's point of view (bomb salesman). I'm like a bomb slanger, all I have for my customers is BOMB. It speaks for itself. You have a lot of "BAMMER" MCs who actually have been convinced that they're "the BOMB" due to popularity or record sales. For that reason I don't bite into that, I stay true to real bomb customers. They know the real from imitatiom bomb. An honest bammer salesman will tell you "look man, I know its dirt weed so I'll give you 2 fat ones for twamp or throw in a couple of vegas". Just like MCs know they're garbage so what they'll do is dress the CD cover up with an attractive, 98% naked chick, diamonds, money, cars or just combine em all, find the best producers their budget can afford, & push a single with no plot but has a catchy chorus and the latest slang to help you overlook the fact that they are WACK!! They do the same thing with their image, but soon the fans get hip to what you're doing and say: "this aint bomb, It's just bammer in a platinum sack". If you don't first admitt to yourself that you are bammer, your fans and/or true bomb experts will expose you. You'll find out when you're on that stage and the crowd wants to be moved, or when your in a cipher being asked to represent that all that material sh%#! you brag about does'nt matter. You have to rely on what you never had in the first place which is skills.

I plan to be around awhile like the Chevy Surburban. Just like it, I don't change my style I just upgrade it. I've been doing this since 1986. So I've seen the bac pac wearin, twisted hair, colorful clothes style play out, the hoodie wearing, Car-jacking, shoot outs with the police style play out, and the do a song about the latest dance or clothing line to make a hit style play out. It's now replaced with bling bling izm (raps that showcase riches rather than talent). The only thing that has surpassed the test of times would be skills. The MCs who were out then and still are(i.e. Rakim, L.L. cool J., KRS ONE, Ice Cube, Too Short, and Scarface) had skills and/or versatility. That's what makes a real MC. Not stressing over how hot the beat is or does it match my flow. A true MC can bring life to a beat or make it match his flow. When you are considered the best of the best you don't need the top producers to get you attention. No one cared who produced the track Dear Mama-2pac, it aint hard to tell-Nas, player's anthem-Junior Mafia, or anything by Scarface because those words defined the song not the beat. There's producers like D.J. Premier who's beats only compliment the likes of true lyricists (Nas, Jay-Z, KRS-ONE,Guru, Notorius B.I.G., Jeru the Damaja, Lady of Rage, Bahamadia, and Afu-ra). Then there's producers like Dr. Dre, Timbaland and the Neptunes who can turn a no name artist into an overnight success with their track (grindin-Clipse, ugly-Bubba Sparrxxx, in the club-50 cent, bad intentions-Knocturnal).

Below this paragraph are a few links to my old stuff. I put these songs here because I think it's important for people to know your roots. People can listen to these tracks and say "I see what he means by ahead of his time". I gots 2 get my flow on is one of those punchline flows that Rappin Ron would like me to spit back in high school. It's an example of just doing what the beat tells you to because the bar count is far beyond 16 for each verse. In Are You Ready, my verse is bars 1-8 of the 1st verse and bars 8-16 of the 2nd verse. I would like you to listen to those 2 from 90 and 95 then go to myMr. Whitfield's Page to hear Mental Masturbation & Brotha Superior. Not much has changed besides delivery and developing a stronger intimacy with hip hop.
