Will Someone Give Me A Spark…? The Others Just Flicker and Die!

Before we go ahead with your regularly schedule program, the Universal Wrestling Federation and Manifest Destiny would like to bring you this announcement.

::FADES IN::

In walks Tyrone Kidd, head down with glasses over his eyes, wearing a formal black suit and tie with a rose hanging out of the breast pocket from the left side.

Once he gets to the center of the area, he make a swift turn and stands right in front of the camera. He pulls out the rose from his pocket and takes a long sniff from it. He breathe a sigh of relief then puts the rose back in his pocket. He lifts up his head and no sense of emotion on his face, he begins the session.

Most of you people out there in TV land know who, exactly, I am. However there are some of you that are new and don’t. Specifically for those people, I will gladly introduce myself.

He clears his throat and prepares himself for the introduction.

I am UWF employee and Manifest Destiny member, Tyrone Kidd. Now I go by other aliases. The UnKrowned King. The Face of Entertainment. Mr. Showtime. But now in these times, I just rather go by the simplicity of just being, “The Show”.

He just stands there with his arms out as the cocky individual that he is. Eventually, he puts his hands down and goes back to his calm and monotone nature.

Now unlike some people whose name will not be referred to at the moment….

In big bold letters, the words ‘REVEL!!’ flash by at the bottom of the screen.

… I am a talented and confident superstar…

The words ‘NOT REVEL!!’ scroll by.

… that has graced the scene of the UWF with my skills in the ring…

NOT REVEL!!

…as well as entertaining folks on the microphone every week.

NOT ONE BIT!!

Kidd takes a second to loosen his tie then fixes his collar.

Ever since my arrival in early May to this highly competitive federation, I have been able to, how can I put it, kick the door open… maybe even down on my competition.

The scene changes to the Adrenaline match between Kidd, Joseph Setala, and Outkast. It’s late in the match and Outkast had just hit Setala with his move, The Hand of God #2. But unknown to him is a stalking newcomer who without a moment’s notice, delivers a downwards boot using his opponent’s own thigh as leverage.

I have shocked my fellow peers.

Next scene takes place at the PPV, this time it’s Kidd versus fellow newcomer Raiden. This match goes pretty back and forth until his adversary tried to go off the top rope. Kidd, being street savvy, stops Raiden in his track and follows it up by the big boot, now called the 2-1-2!

I have stood my ground.

Still taking place at the Pay per View, Joseph Setala has just finished successfully defending his Hardcore Title when the lights cut off and with Tyrone Kidd laying out Setala with a kendo shot when they come back on. The attack continues capping of the attack with a brutal 2-1-2!

I have made my statement.

The next week is the restart of the UnCensored show, with Kidd in another triple threat versus Jack Suede and Cell Block. An interesting match it ended up with the domination of one man as he was able to hit Suede with the 2-1-2 and then catching Cell Block off guard with the reverse STO, a move he calls The Curtain Call.

I have taken what you believed in and then gave you something to be aware of.

The last scene is from last week’s U.C. show. Kidd is up to bat against the newcomer Shinjin. Just like the other ones before her, they fought valiantly but she was at the wrong spot at the wrong time and she is a victim of the 2-1-2.

And I have proven that I am the best out of this new breed of wrestlers.

It goes back to Kidd, hands folded, with a straight face looking at the camera.

‘The world needs a better class of criminals… and I’m going to give it to them!’ A line spoken from a character that can only be describe to many people as a genius in his own right. Yet, I can relate but in this certain scenario… it’s about who has that ability to make it into the big leagues as people to watch out for.

A picture of Kendell Smith holding the coveted Universal title above her head at the end of last week’s UnCensored is seen before it goes back to Tyrone.

The beginning…. I remember talking about how everyone has one. For me, these six or so weeks were simply a prologue. I have done what I need to, so far, in order to be where I am at this moment. At this pay per view, the first chapter of Tyrone Kidd will be in the works. I am officially stated that I have TAKEN OVER as the fastest rising superstar in UWF…

A picture of Darren Revel’s face crossed out fades into the screen and after a couple minutes it fades right back out.

And from this moment on, I will let everyone know that I am RAISING THE BAR! And if you can’t keep up with the tempo, well… that is just… too… bad.

The screen instantly turns into static…

::FADES OUT::

Narrator: British Massacre. It only comes once a year and this time around it has come back full force. Ten Matches capped off with the ever so unpredictable Survival of the Sickest Match between Team Future. To me, this is just my second pay per view but I do have an opportunity to win some gold. Now although this is not really the type of gold that I would prefer to have, Tag Team titles are exactly what they say they are… titles. And in the world of professional wrestling, it is always better to have a title than not to.

Super Sam. Elissa Toretto. Kris Kebbler. Joseph Baskin.

These are the four people who stand in the way of having my first official title in the UWF. Four of the newest transitions randomly teamed up to fight stop me from getting a shot at becoming a champion. There is some pretty good news though. Luckily for me, I have a pretty decent insurance as well as a partner to make this a little bit easier. Mr. Incredible One, Ravi Moon.

Now being that is the first time we have actually teamed up as the group Manifest Destiny, there is a good sense that I should be every skeptical about how this will work out. And that is nothing but true. But there is also the chance that this can become one of the most devastating team to ever collaborate in this current age of professional wrestling. This is the joy of taking chances. You never know what you’re going to get. Just like flipping a coin. … LET THE SHOW BEGIN!!

Scene 1 :: Saturday Night ::

The scene opens up inside the living room of Kidd’s suite at the Ramada Hotel in the city of Manchester, England. In the room are Kidd’s friend and partner in crime, Skye and his client and tour guide Michael Alston. Both gentlemen are dressed very casual, wearing a pair of regular denim jeans. Skye has a white MMA shirt with a fence and the word Tapout on the front. Michael has on a blue American Eagle polo t-shirt that he is borrowing from Tyrone to wear. They both are sitting on the couch waiting for their American friend and decide to flip the channel to find something that would push the time away.

Meanwhile in the bedroom is Tyrone Kidd sitting on the edge of the bed with a phone to his ear. It seems as if he has been on there for a while and with the disappointed look on his face, it is obviously not a good idea.

Kidd; C’mon, man! This is the last week in England and you know you don’t want to spend it being cramp up in this damn hotel.

…Moment of Silence…

Kidd: Yes, I know I have a tag team match for the title.

Yes, I know it’s a Tables, Ladder and Chairs match. Oh My!

Look I will guarantee that it’s going to be fine. If it makes you feel any better I’ll go and work out at the gym tomorrow.

Ok.

So I guess that mean you’re not coming, RAVI?

Oh well, I will see you tomorrow okay, man?

Kidd hangs up the phone and goes to grab the dark gray t-shirt that he put on the other side of the bed. As he walks out of the room, he proceeds to put on the shirt as his friends are relieved that he’s actually done. He stops right before the couch and takes the time to pose to show him the shirt. On the front of the shirt in white Olde English font is ever so popular comment of “The Man” with an arrow pointing up and “The Myth” with the arrow pointing down. Kidd turns around and with a black cartoon like background with the words “The Show” in black color.

Skye: About damn time.

Michael: What the hell were you doing in there?

Kidd: I was just trying to see if my partner wanted to join us tonight. You know try the whole team chemistry thing. But he declined. I guess he’s really determined to win these titles at the pay-per-view…

Kidd takes a minute to reflect what is awaiting him at the British Massacre PPV.

…Oh well! It’s his lost. Let’s roll out!

Skye goes to turn the TV as him while Michael gets up from his seat, looking at Kidd with a look of confusion on his face.

Michael: Where are we going anyway?

Kidd: This spot that I found on one of the streets of Manchester. Seems pretty nice, I mean at least to me.

They both look at him with a concern look. He looks at them shrugging his shoulders and looks at them innocently.

What?! C’mon I mean what could possibly go wrong?

They head out the door and walk down the hallways and into the elevator awaiting them at the end. As Kidd walking ahead of the group basking in confidence, his two friends behind him are having some sort of argument. Doing their best not to make any noise, this argument consists mostly of pushing, shoving, and hand gestures. Once their get inside of the elevator, Kidd step up and pushes the button for the lower level.

As they are descending to the destination, Skye and Mike decide to play odd/even in order to pick who was going to break the ice. Both get set up and after three tries, Michael end up winning the battle. Skye stands there upset that he lost and starts to think of a way to do what he has to do. The door opens up and they walk towards the direction of the front door where the limousine that Kidd called for is waiting for them. As they make it about halfway, Skye takes the time to taps his buddy on the shoulder. Kidd stops in his track and raises his eyebrow while letting off a smile.

Kidd: What’s up?

Skye: Look Ty. I just need to know something. It’s been bothering both me and Michael all week. Now don’t get it wrong. I know what the fuck you can do, possibly more than anyone has in the past 6 or 7 months that you have return. But seriously, what’s with this god damn glow of confidence this week?! I mean you rarely trained this week. Plus on top of that, you’ve been overly cocky. And as cocky as you usually are, this is really… strange of you.

After a brief moment of silence, Kidd continues to walk confidently to the automobile. Totally oblivious to the reason behind it, his friends just look at each other and carry on the travel to the car. Once they get in front of the black limo, Kidd decides that this is the time to answer his question.

Kidd: Overly cocky? That’s kind of funny. Now I don’t think I’m overconfident at the least bit. Actually I think I am mentally prepared for what lies ahead for the pay-per view.

The driver makes his trip around and with a tip of his hat, opens the door for the trio. One by one they get in and get adjusted in the leather seats in the back. Kidd grabs a cold bottle of champagne that has been lying inside a bucket of ice. As he pops it open and makes himself a glass before he looks at the two people in front of him.

I mean at British Massacre we have a basic match of opportunity. That’s all it is. Four people that we can honestly say have done NOTHING to make it get a shot at gold at the expense of the two people who actually worked hard. Now there is nothing that I have against any particular one of these but in order to become UWF Tag Team Champions, I will make a statement on their behalf. Plus this is a TLC match. Pure hardcore at it’s finest. How can you possibly train for it… you can’t.

Kidd pours a glass for both of his friends and hands them off. They both grab and they bang glasses before taking a sip. Kidd continues…

Kris Keebler. I admit this guy has spunk. He and his little truffle Cookies n Crème can provide a little bit of excitement in the division but what else can he do? He didn’t even win the match that he was put in! At the end of the day it’s not about how many people you can make laugh in your little gimmick of a show… it’s about how much of an impact you can make in the federation. So to me, I think he has a little bit more to show and prove before he can do something.

The engine starts and they begin to drive to the place that Kidd has arranged for them. The force of the gears jerks the car forward and almost spills the drinks. They all regain they composure and Kidd continues the conversation…

Then we have his “partner” Joseph Baskin. Baskin?! REALLY?! Does this not scream out copyright infringement?! Baskin? Keebler? Next we’re gonna have a new guy show up named Dr. Pepper… or worse. *winces* You guys need to be more creative here. Or you guys are just going to look really silly.

Michael: But what about Elissa and Sams?

Kidd: Super Sams? C’mon now. This is almost a match full of gimmicks. Now I saw his stuff. And this is a cute way introducing yourself but give me a break. What is this?! An AA meeting? Or a speed date place?! Giving me a chance to know who you is a great thing but in a tag team TITLE match. This is not the time or place for it. But when the Pay per view comes along I will play dumb for a second. I might just go up to him and say, “Hey Super Sam. I am Tyrone Kidd. And I will be the one that will kick your ass tonight.”

The limo approaches the stop sign and the driver slams on the brake as he almost races past it. The impact pushes the bucket off of the stand and in the direction of the floor. Luckily, Kidd grabs it at the last minute. They all share a few choice words for the driver and then set the stand back up.

*sigh* Remind me to handle that when I get out. Now the final piece of the puzzle is Elissa Toretto. Now she just so happens to be Reece’s main squeeze but again… she hasn’t done anything worthwhile to even acknowledge. No wait, she was able to play the damsel in distress role very well. My bad. She wants to give her the benefit of the doubt and say she will detrimental to her team? I say nay.

What all these four people have done in federation is nothing at all. Just random joes getting the chance to step up on their careers. Hey I’m all for it. Go guys! The future needs to be known and only a select few can make it in this business. Ravi and myself have done what we need to in order to get where we are. We are bound to win the title by any possible way. Anything else would be upsetting. So, there is a reason why I am so abrasive tonight and that is because the only thing that can stop us at the pay per view is ourselves. And I will not allow that. Because it will be my time…. SHOWTIME!!

And with the end of those words they finally reach the place that they were going to… O’Sheas Irish Bar. As they wait for the driver to open the door, Skye and Alston are worried about Kidd. Is he too confident and will that be his downfall? Or is he right and is there no one come the PPV that will actually out do the tag team of Manifest Destiny? As the door opens, they head out as the scene comes to an end
