Back In The Day

Remember when hip-hop was plain and simple, no multi-million $ deals, expensive cars, female models all up in the videos.  In fact it wasn't even called hip-hop back in the day, it was just rap.   Rap slowly evolved from telling rhyme stories with your crew on street corners-clapping hands for the beat, to human beatboxes providing the beats for MCs and eventually DJs spinning the "breaks" (instrumental portions) of popular Rock and R&B jams.  Remember true poppin and breakin, MC and DJ battles.   Did you go to the theater or drive-in to see Beat Street or  Breakin'WHAT???!!!  You've never heard of those movies?!  Sit 'on down son, it's time for some quick education, time to go back home and check out the roots of this culture people call hip-hop.  Now this is just a sample, don't want to overwhelm you on your first day of school.

"What we're gonna do right here is go back...way back,

As we go a little something like this...HIT IT!"
