Good,...but, October 2, 2004
Reviewer: TCmofo "TCmofo" (Ft. Walton Beach, FL)

I love Talib Kweli but I agree with some other reviewers. The albums Reflection Eternal and Quality had more of an old school feel as far as the beats and styling and definitely better helped to define Kweli's style. This IS one of the best hip hop albums of the year and I do appreciate the effort to be different in the now thugged out G'd up world of hip hop, but the beats could have been better.

Take the album for what it is, not what it isn't, October 2, 2004
Reviewer: SuperJimmy (Washington)

I have Kweli from Lyricist Lounge, to Soundbombing, Black Star, Reflection Eternal, Quality, and now this. This album sounds different. Yes it sounds more mainstream than Quality did. But that isn't necessarily a bad thing. I actually like how these songs sound.

This isn't Reflection Eternal, just look at the title. The thing is, he IS trying to become more mainstream. If you actually listen to his lyrics, he hasn't lost his lyrical ability, or his message. But a message doesn't mean anything when the people that need to hear it the most don't hear it. He needs to find a way to push through to get a few more ears to hear it. So I support this.

People are just being stubborn because they want Reflection Eternal...It'll never happen even if he tried. His lyrics are a reflection of his thoughts, and of the times. Times change, and people grow. Get over it.

That being said, the album isn't without flaws..."We Got the Beat" sort of just appears out of now where. There seems to be no flow or transition into it. When you hear it, it's like someone flipped the radio station. The music is a little too "aerobic" for me, by the lyrics make up for it.

The beat on "A game" is VERY suspect...kinda like K West's lyrics and flow.

I like "I Try" with Mary J, but...she sounds weird for some reason.

Those were my only somewhat negative thoughts about the album. I'm totally feeling the album though. Yes, the type of jazzy beats on R. Eternal fit Kweli best, and this is evident on tracks like Ghetto Show and Beautiful Struggle. So some of the other tracks you'll have to actually sit down and listen before you make judgement. It's different, and I guarantee you have never heard Kweli behind the styles of some of the other songs. But if your mind is open (meaning you accept that this isn't the Black Star or R Eternal album, and nothing ever will be if you are realistic) you'll like it.

Remember, don't punish this album for what it isn't, judge it for what it is and what he's trying to do. And if you can't see it, go listen to Nelly.

I only wish Common was part of Black Star.

I definately think that Ciara can surpass that first single. There are tracks like "Oh" featuring Ludacris, I hate Ludacris but his rhyme in that track is aiight. And the track "Next to You" featuring R Kelly is has slow and just right. Now I'm wondering what you think of this album, click yes if you like it, no if you dont. Holla.

Reviewer: DaT BoY aCE "muzicbox" (Texas, USA)

I have to say that this record is hot from beginning 2 end. It may not be the best record of the year, but I'm definitely feelin' it.

1- Goodies - 5 Stars - The Jump OFF - erbody know it! 2- One, Two Step - 4 Stars - kinda remind me of Kanye West work out song.. but it is real mellow 3 - Thug Style - 4 Stars - Kinda My fav on dis joint. She is real mellow and her tone just floats on the whole song. 4 - Hotline - 5 Stars - KRUNK, possible single! It goes with da whole vibe of the album 5 - Oh feat. Luda - 4 Stars - She reminds me of Aaliyah in Hot Like Fire on this one. It's truly Krunk-n-B, it's different... if you ain't ready you wont like this one! 6 - Pick up the Phone - 5 Stars - I like it! It got a killa infectious rhythm and she actin' like she's feelin' it too! (mid-tempo) 7 - Looking At You - 5 Stars - Jazze Phae be feelin' it, and it compliments her voice well! I think that Ciara sounds real good on this song. She gets playful with it like she really is enjoyin' the song! 8 - Ooh Baby - 5 Stars - Pretty Cool! It's another one u just move on. 9 - Next To You feat. R. Kelly - 5+ STARS!! - It's a real good ballad, and is phat! It's dat R... she sounds a lot like those girls from JS on this jam. She is nice on this one. 10 - And I - 5 Stars! FA REAL FA REAL! - Another good ballad. I definitely can hear this one on Sunday Night Slow Jams (Fa those of ya who know about them slow jams!) 11 - Other Chicks - 5++ Stars... the best jam besides the first single! Whoever did this beat.. KILLED... another slow one! It got a whole new vibe to it! I mean if u bump this one in ya ride, it will go hard! 12 - The Title - 5 Stars - It's on the same level with Olivia's Cloud 9... got that old groove feel to it, mixed with some new stuff. Another Hot Joint! 13 - Remix to Goodies - It's of course.. in dat BUMPA category!

The only reccomendation I would have for her is just feel the music. Sometimes it seems like she's holding back. She needs to explore higher areas in her voice... we know she's got the notes, but I would like her to play with her upper range and just work a mid-tempo and slow song out! Her fast songs are cool.. they don't need as much work! But as soon as she gets her voice comfortable to hit a song wit some power at the same time wit ease.. she will be off da chain!!

Quality cd, September 16, 2004

Reviewer:

chris (houston,texas)

This is the second nelly cd that I've purchased I really have to say that nelly has matured as an artist. I thought that nellyvile was below average with a lot of publicity behind it but I think this cd can stand on its own with quality music. I was more a fan of song like dilemma and luven me which is why I picked up suit. So st.louis should STAND UP! for nelly.

This cd is off da hook! Again Nelly made an awesome cd! I liked it better than Sweat even though I liked the song 'Flap ur wings' on there. My Place is an awesome song, but it gets old after hearing it over and over again. Play it off is Awesome...and a great song. My favorite song on the cd is over and over again feat. Tim McGraw, I could listen to that song over and over again and I would not get tired of it at all! I think it is awesome how country can be put into hip/hop rap and still be off da hook!! That should be a hit,I hope it is going to be too! This cd is off da chain and I love it! But I'm out! Holla! Peace!

Very dynamic album with loads of party songs! , September 15, 2004

Reviewer:

Preston (nc)

Nelly's Sweat is jammin'! This is one nonstop party of funky, danceable songs! I liked the orchestra that he used on the opening song. But after that, it's one nonstop series of jams. I liked American Dream, the song he did with Christina Aguilera and the one he did with Mobb Deep and Missy Elliott is dynamite. Flap Your Wings is definitely funky from the Neptunes and the Jayson Bridges-produced songs give the other producers a run for their money on here, especially Jay-E's. That one Alchemist song is hot, a unique change. There's a huge emphasis on bumpin' beats, strong rhythms, smart usage of guest appearances and deep basslines. Nelly tends to rap more than his usual singing style on some tracks. And Boy is a another hot song with its percolating groove! There's like 4 to 5 potential hits here! They will be bumping and playing this album like crazy in the clubs with the choice tracks! Very energetic and consistent all throughout! Most artists that put out two albums of material have some filler stuff and throwaway tracks thrown together onto it and the listening pace of it isn't always good. This album doesn't have that, one solid song after the next. And Suit is just as good. This will be a huge hit all year long!

Good, but not great!, September 15, 2004

Reviewer:

Ladi Jai(Tulsa, OK)

I was a tad disappointed in this album! He had a handful of good songs and consistency was not present!

Please understand, I adore Nelly and will remain a die hard fan, but this could have been a better CD!

The best songs:
(1) Tilt Ya Head Back
(2) Spida Man
(3) Playa
(4) River Don't Runnn
(5) Flap Your Wings

Alright, I'll keep this brief. This album is actually VERY GOOD. The only thing I've noticed different in comparison to The Originators is the production is better on that album. Their tracks are usually more rawer than this album. Lyrically, nothing's changed still taking you on a flight through a comical storm of sexin, drinking, and smoking. Life's little nessicities, you know. I'm still a Beatnuts fan though. Been one since the Intox Demons EP. Big Ju & Psych didn't let me down on this one. Pick it up, The LP is truely HOT. Especially, the U Nomsayin joint. Parking lot pimps, add this to your collection. Buy it.

FINALLY its here!BUY THIS ALBUM, put it in the best system you got, get lifted, and listen to it staight through from the Intro to the "Hidden Track" at the end. This album is worth every penny. My personal favorite has got to be "Madness". JuJu has stepped it up lyrically every album, and has become one of the best MC's in the game. And if you have never seen the Beatnuts live in concert, I feel sorry for you. Phycho Les and JuJu, if you read this, make sure you come to DETROIT SOON!

Pitbull's got his debut album out. There are a few songs that are really good, but a lot of the songs have an annoying sound to em. Notice the best songs are the collabo's, not Pitbull by himself. Download some of his songs first, see if you like it, then think about buying it.

Best songs:

2.) That's Nasty (Ft. Lil' Jon & Fat Joe)
3.) Melting Pot (Ft. Trick Daddy)

On their sixth album, the Roots backslide a bit on the creative promise they showed with 2002's Phrenology
. Instead of expanding into more ambitious and experimental areas--the way Outkast has, for example--the Roots tend to fall back to basics with vigorous, but ultimately conventional, lyricism. There are definitely some truly great moments here: the album opens with near-magic on "Star," a mesmerizing song that is one of the finest of the group's career, and Black Thought is a one-man tour de force on "Boom!" where he mimics Big Daddy Kane and Kool G Rap down to their velour sweats. But The Tipping Point also has some of their blandest production ever, and, at 10 tracks (plus two hidden cuts), the compactness of the album makes the problem spots stand out more than usual. "I Don't Care" and "Duck Down!" in particular seem derivative and commercially tailored. The main thing missing here is an overall guiding concept, something the Roots have never lacked before. --Oliver Wang

Can LL still make a case for being the G.O.A.T (Greatest Of All Time)
? Well, let's just say that this position is becoming more difficult to defend. Enlisting the talents of Timbaland to sonically sculpt most of his 11th record is a wise move. The hook-driven jump-off "Headsprung" fits perfectly into its current urban-music landscape. Conceptually, "Move Somethin'" reveals that LL can still flip nouveau rap flows when called upon. The problem is that LL Cool J long ago decided to stop being "hard as hell," instead allowing his R&B-rapper persona to creep in further. Thus, a lot of this release, much like his most recent previous efforts, is filled with offensively boring love songs. Even with R. Kelly dropping by and Timbaland delivering fantastic synthesizer blasts, LL's boasts of getting better with age simply do not hold up. The great ones never know when to throw in the towel--or at least slow down the output--and only LL diehards will lick their lips to this one. --Dalton Higgins

In contemporary rap, incarceration pays. Get locked up, and your aura grows--you soon become a 'hood economist, legendary and independently wealthy. When word leaked out that Shyne was negotiating multimillion-dollar record contracts from inside the big house, his fan base grew exponentially. It doesn't matter that his self-titled debut
was only so-so. Rather than take the obvious bait and dis alleged snitch P Diddy across these 13 tracks, he instead goes after media darling 50 Cent. Phoning in his verses (literally) on "For the Record," he charges that 50 is a snitch and studio thug. Now that's gangsta. There are a few hidden gems here among the rehashed beats and songs. Kanye West continues to make everyone sound good; his brooding, string-laden soundscape on "More or Less" perfectly matches Shyne's gothic vocal tone and declarations: "hip-hop ain't responsible for violence in America/America's responsible for violence in America." Beat baron Just Blaze does his part on "Diamonds and Mac 10's," but most of the record is filled with muddy production. Nothing here matches the appeal of his debut's "Bad Boyz" collaboration with Barrington Levy, but this is still a timely, topical release. --Dalton Higgins

Warren G, Nate Dogg, and Snoop Dogg bring their old 213 crew back together in time for summer picnics and park jams. Though Warren G appears throughout, it's mostly a Dogg's day as Snoop and Nate give the album its gangsta-lean feel. The vibe is strictly laid back--the group pens odes to liquor, women, and weed, including a remake of Rick Jame's "Mary Jane" (released just before the singer's passing). For the most part however, 213 has their minds on sex more than smoking out, with playful cuts like "Groupie Luv" balancing the profane shock of "My Dirty Ho." Musically, they lay down classic G-Funk with that signature squeegee sound--just the right groove for street cruising and backyard partying, especially the sweet soul of "Another Summer" and the catchy funk of "Lil Girl." The Hard Way isn't quite as strong as you'd expect from such a marquee trio, but if you're looking for a collection of pleasant made-for-summer tunes, 213 is the area code to dial. --Oliver Wang

This album is by far the best purchase i have made this year. Although this guy is not original, I have to appreciate him for writing most if not all of his tracks and he produced just about every single song. If you notice for those that choose to purchase this CD, you can feel this man when he sings like he has actually gone through this struggle and pain. He has a little bit of everything on this album, from struggle to street life to club hoppin tracks. For any avid fan of music who likes an ecletic sound, you will appreciate this album alot. I must say this though, if you don't like reggae, then you might not like it, but for those wondering music fanatics i say give it play, you might be pleasantly surprised.

Akon- Trouble, July 8, 2004

Reviewer: Constant from Vancouver, BC Canada

Akon's debut album "Trouble" (2004) is decent. As an artist he brings something different with a somewhat unique voice that can catch your attention. The first track "Locked Up" has a soulful Akon telling a story of being in jail and wanting to get out and move on, I am sure some people who have strayed on the wrong paths in there life can relate with this one. Akon addresses the life of a convict who is trying to make it on the title track "Trouble". Not much into, "Bananaz" (Belly Dancer) a track about the ladies, find it bland, also feel same way about the next one. Akon drops a standout sad sounding cut with "Ghetto" a track about dealing with self destructive street life and finding a better way. "Pot of Gold" is an upbeat track, where Akon talks about being strong and overcoming lifes obstacles. "Lonely" is about losing a special girl and wanting to get her back, the background sample is funny. Akon travels on "Journey", which is followed up by the relaxed "Dont Let Up". The album closes off with the bonus track "Locked Up" (Remix) feat. Styles P of the Lox. This is actually the track that drew my attention to this album, like this collabration. Akon to me is clearly a R & B singer even though this album has been mislabeled as a Rap album. The difference with him is he talks about some topics your average singer does not and brings a different sound while handling the majority of production himself. That said theres alot of tracks I skip over, but a few do standout making "Trouble" an album I recommend checking out. I think R & B fans will appreciate it more then Rap fans.

"Afterparty" has already garnered a radio audience of over 8 million and is climbing. The hot video directed by manager-producer, Chris Stokes, which includes cameos of Omarion and Marques is in rotation at BET and is becoming a fan favorite among the teen set.

young rome from imx is getting hotter and hotter each and evertime his song hits the playground of bet and mtv. already the fans are bubbling. Especially with the few deal of the artists on the left field on his cd klton and Marques, Tony Scott), Rufus Blaque, and Mad Funk. what more can i say.

to be or not to be my romeo ladies theres a new romeo in town to change the test of time hip hop is just getting started!!!!!

Big Ups to Young Rome, July 8, 2004

Reviewer: Teri from Chicago

I was a bit skeptical about buying Young Rome's album at first, but now I'm glad that I got it. He is definitely a talented artist and this is reflected throughout the whole cd. I was surprised to hear how unique and orignal his album is. His rapping skills have definitely improved since his Immature/IMx days. I would recommend this album to any and every hip-hop fan, whether you were a fan of Immature/IMx or not. I think this album can be enjoyed by everyone. This album really does give you a good look at who Young Rome is, and it's much different from your average rap album. Among my favorite songs on this album are Freaky (which has a HOTT beat to it) and Best Days (which is the most touching song on the album where he talks about different aspects of his life, including his feelings towards B2K).
Do not sleep on this Young Rome album. He is not the same guy as Romeo...Young Rome has grown up and has a talent that the world needs to see. I highly recommend this album.

It's a 50 Cent
world, and we're just living in it. Lloyd Banks's solo debut is one in an upcoming series of G Unit-affiliated releases coming to a hood near you. With his understated raspy flows and gift for penning clever punch lines, Banks has long been considered the crew's nicest lyricist. He might also be the most braggadocios. On choice cut "Warrior," the narcissism begins: "I'm smooth as the Isleys, sometimes I surprise me." Then there's the self-explanatory "I’m So Fly," produced by Timbaland, and "If You So Gangsta," where he informs his fellow hood dwellers why they can't compete with the "rap Lebron." As with all G Unit productions, the beats are first-rate. Remarkable backing tracks supplied by underrated producers Hi-Tek and Baby Grand ("I Get High," "Die One Day") act as a much needed counterweight to Banks's clichéd thug-guns-girls-jewelry banter. A better reason to cop this album is to hear Banks's introspective take on the flipside of thug living. R&B-tinged ballad "Karma" demos his ability to serenade the hotties in more, um, gentlemanly fashion. When he raps "if it wasn't for 50, I probably wouldn't be around," he might be right. But the rap world's no worse off with this capable debut in our midst. --Dalton Higgins

Have Slum Village become the Destiny Child's
of rap? They certainly are survivors. As VIP group members fall by the wayside with each new release--this time around Baatin's gone MIA, last time around it was Jay Dilla—-they keep putting out the hits. "Selfish" is classic SV, with the banging beat supplied by Kanye West and soulful hooks courtesy of John Legend. Certainly, the combination of T3's clever disjointed rhyme patterns, Elzhi's smart, punchy flows, and a stellar production formula makes one miss Dilla's beat brilliance a bit less (although he does appear on the closing "Reunion"). However, the duo falls short because they fail to craft rhymes beyond predictable SV subject matter. Doesn't "Hood Hoes" sound strangely familiar? Outside of "Old Girl/Shining Star"--a unique spin on the pros and pitfalls of womanhood--Detroit Deli is light on themes. Oddly enough, guest contributions from Ol' Dirty Bastard ("Dirty") and fellow Detroit legend MC Breed ("Do You") don't add much to the lyrical mix. It's an extremely enjoyable and highly listenable album, but it sure ain't looking to enlighten the world with its lyrical content. --Dalton Higgins

Definitely The Best Rapper Alive Since The Best Rapper Retired, July 7, 2004

Reviewer: Brittany from Houma, LA USA

Lil Wayne A.K.A."Birdman Jr." is most definitely the best rapper alive! He is the most talented artist in the game, and "The Carter" is the best showcase of Wheezy's talents...! He's been a great artist! Eva since I heard him flow on the Big Tymers "How u Luv Dat" cd, I've loved him! Lil Wayne has been giving' the game his all, and it's time he receives the attention he deserves...he's a great artist! I own every cd he has ever put out and all of them are great! Especially "Da Block is Hot", but he's struck gold wit "Da Carter"! Anyone that doesn't have this cd needs to go get it , and anyone that doesn't agree with me when I say that the Birdman Jr. is indeed the Best Rapper Alive, needs to be wiped of the face of the earth .jus playin! But SERIOUSLY, please, please, please, go and get that! U haven't experienced real rap music until u've experienced Lil Wayne's music!

BIG IMPROVEMENT FROM BEATS, RHYMES, AND LIFE!, June 25, 2004

Reviewer: IceBerg757 from Hampton, VA

First of all for all of you who think Consequence is some new MC your wrong. For all of those Tribe Called Quest fans he was featured on the Beats, Rhymes, and Life cd back in 1996. To tell you the truth he messed up the whole cd. He was like on every song. He didn't mix well with the Tribe flow. Now it's 2004 he drops his solo album/mixtape. When I seen this cd in the record store I was like hell naw this wack dude is back with a new cd. So I happen to pick it up. I seen that Kanye West was on like 15 of his 20 track album. Then he had fire guest like Common, Talib Kweli, and Little Brother. So out of curiosity I bought it. When I heard this cd I was like "Oh My God!" This cd is so hot! This cat skills improved a hell of a lot, since his Tribe days. I can't give him total credit for having a blazin cd. Kanye West produced damn near every song and rapped on damn near every song. This album was more like Kanye West featuring Consequence. Kanye held his hand through this album. Don't get me wrong this album is fire, but the sole reason is because of Kanye! Consequence did his thing too, but without the help of Kanye I don't think he could have made a cd this hot by himself.
He got a song called "Wack Ni**az" which featured Common, Kanye, and Talib Kweli. This song proves the rebirth of Common cuz, he is back to his self. (...) The song is fire. He used some oldie but goody hip hop beats from the early 90s ya'll will like. Overall there is no denying this is a hot cd.

Solid hip-hop cd, June 24, 2004

Tune in for the latest installment in the ongoing "Son of the Wu" saga, Tical 0: The Prequel, in which Method Man finds himself in a particularly awkward position. One gets the sense that it was a battle between Mista Mef and Def Jam for the soul of this album and that the label won. Meth's third solo outing radiates a blatantly commercial vibe that risks alienating die-hard Wu-Tang Clan
fans, yet it contains just enough hot selections to grab the less judgmental listener's interest. And the hot selections are really what we're here for, right? Surprisingly, the album's many guest appearances provide the most excitement. A newly Def Jam-affiliated Puff Daddy produces and compares the Missy-accented "Say What," Raekwon injects some old-school Wu flavor into "The Turn," and Busta Rhymes straight kills it with a full-throttle assault on "What's Happenin'." Even longtime Wu-Tang sidekick, Streetlife, adds some nice touches to tracks like "The Prequel." At least Meth's kept his friends close during this transitional period. --Rebecca Levine

Different sound, July 2, 2004

Reviewer: AaronAtterson from Terre Haute, IN USA

THIS CD IS GOOD FOR LISTENING. THERE ARE A FEW GOOD SONGS AND A FEW BAD ONES. PETEY COMES A FROM A DIFFERENT ANGLE THAN YOUR STEREOTYPICAL MONEY, DOPE, & HOES RAPPER. THIS CD IS GOOD IF YOU ARE TIRED OF LISTENING TO THE SAME TYPE OF RAP MUSIC AND YOU WANT A DIFFERENT SOUND,

Puttin NC on the Map, June 29, 2004

Reviewer: G~SPOTZ from Hollister NC ... Home of the Haliwa-Saponi Indian Nation

Just like Petey Say ... He is "one of the only problems to ever come out of Carolina" ... Petey has a mad flow ... He puts statement together that really make you think ... He is from Greenville, NC ... That's only about 1 hr away from where I am from ... He gives shout outs to little small towns in the area ... U gotta respect someone who does not forget where they came from ... In my Opinion ... # 6 is the tightest track on there ... "Lets Rock" is another Carolina anthem and if u from the NC ... It makes u hold your head up hi ... Radio does not give him play around here ... only Freek-A-Leek gets played ... And on the album ... he licks mad shots at K-97.5 in Raleigh ... He knows that they don't play him like they should ... So he is like ... "Fu** Em !!" ... That's Real Rite there ... The only things that he needs to improve are some on his hooks ... Some of the chorus are mediocre at best ... Other than that ... Its fire ... Cop It and show your love for the "Carolina Bird Dawg" ...

You can say this about D12: few rap groups do a better job of straddling the line between the humorous and offensive, silly and sadistic. So when Eminem
kick starts D12's sophomore effort by spewing vulgar rhymes to the tune of the adolescent "Name Game" on "Git Up," it's not entirely unexpected. But can D12 ever be considered anything other than an Eminem science project gone awry? "My Band," a pure novelty track (and this album's "Purple Pills"), addresses this question. Rather than lament the fact that nobody cares about the rest of the Em's crew, group members Proof, Kuniva, Swift, and Bizarre celebrate their obscurity while Shady himself croons a painfully catchy off-kilter hook. In fact, most of the crew's punch lines and hooks tend to be overshadowed by Him. Plus, Eminem produces a sizable chunk of the tracks, which is not necessarily a good thing considering his rhyme skills trump his beat-making skills considerably. With the exception of Mr. Proof's banging production on "Good Die Young" and Bizarre's creepy shock rap come-ons on "U R the One," D12's world sounds too much like an Eminem side project. Beat contributions by Kanye West (title cut) and Dr. Dre ("American Psycho 2") bolster the overall product, but not to the level of an Eminem solo album. --Dalton Higgins

This debut from the most sought-after hip-hop producer not named Pharrell delivers the unthinkable: West magically sledgehammers home his opinions on taboo topics over beats that are equally daring. The envelope-ripping beats shouldn't come as a surprise given that he's supplied the soundscapes to monster singles by everyone from Alicia Keys
("You Don't Know My Name") to Talib Kweli ("Get By"). What is freakish is that in West's world, rhymes about strippers, God, college life, and guns can co-exist tidily and not undermine each other. On "Breathe In Breathe Out" he raps "I gotta apologize to Mos and Kweli/is it cool to rap about gold if I told the world I copped it from Ghana and Mali"--tongue firmly planted in cheek. On the catchy "Through the Wire," fuelled by a Chaka Khan hook, he spits some impeccable rhymes despite his jaw being wired shut after a near-fatal car accident. Maybe it was this brush with mortality that kicked his lyrics into high gear on "All Falls Down." The skits on here are just as potent, one poking fun at the overeducated underclass that makes a small fraction of the loot he does. With jaw-dropping cameos from Jay-Z, Common, Mos Def, and the Harlem Boys Choir plus the feel-good club tune of the year, "Slow Jamz" featuring Twista, College Dropout is as explosive, contradictory, and complex as rap music gets. --Dalton Higgins
