| Billy Garland is Tupac's birth father. He left Tupac and Afeni when Tupac was only 5. Tupac thought he was dead the rest of his life untill he got shot in New York in 1994, and he visited Tupac in the hospital.He took Afeni to court for half of Tupac's estate after Tupac passed but was denied. It ended up in a settlement of $540,000 plus legal fees totaling just over $350,000 |

| Afeni remarried to Mutulu after Tupac's father left their family. Mutulu was sentenced 60 years in prison for being the brains behind a 1981 Brinks armed car robbery that killed 2 police officers and a Brinks guard. When Mutulu was with the family he and Tupac made up the "Code of Thug Life", which was a list of rules discouraging random violence among gangsta rappers. | Kadafi was 6 years younger than Tupac, born in New Jersey in 1977. He was a member of the OUTLAWZ. Kadafi was the only witness willing to tesify to Tupacs killer, and said he could identify him in a lineup. 3 days after Tupac was shot, Kadafi was shot in the head, and was found slumped against a 3rd floor hallway in an apartment building in New Jersey. Police think the killing had nothing to do with him knowing about Tupac's killers. |

Assata Shakur(JoAnne Chesimard)-Aunt |
| Tupac's aunt Assata Shakur, dubbed the "soul" of the Black Liberation Army, is arguably the most famous member of the Shakur Family. Currently living in Cuba. In a highly controversial case she was convicted of murder in a shoot-out on the New Jersey State Turnpike in 1973. An officer and Tupac's uncle, Zayd Shakur, were both killed. The third person in the vehicle, Sundiata Acoli, has served 20 years of her sentence and has been denied parole for another 20. Assata was shot in the back, taken to the hospital and tortured while questioned. She had a broken clavicle and a paralyzed arm. Despite the fact that forensic evidence showed that she had not fired a weapon, she was sentenced to life + 33 years in prison. His parents seperated and Mutulu remarried to Afeni Shakur, the mother of Tupac and his sister Sekyiwa, making Maurice and Tupac half brothers. He was part of the group Thug Life with Tupac, and thats where he got his name Mopreme from |

| Also a member of the Black Panther party, he was recently released from prison after serving 27 years of a 25 to life sentence, for being convicted of murdering an LA school teacher. He was released after being proved innocent, and won a large sum of money for the false inprisonment. |
