He’s the brother figure of her life.
The one who sticks by her side.
He’s the one I thought she was cheating with.
He’s the one she talks to for hours.
The one who wants her so badly.
She secretly sees him the same way.
He’s the one who could calm her down.
He’s the C man.
The ex who’s not really an ex.
She spends those extra two hours at work with him.
He’s the reason she doesn’t come home for lunch anymore.
He’s the one who goes places I won’t.
He’s the one who’s sex is so good.
He’s the only one to make love to her.
That’s something he won’t do for his wife.
He secretly takes her to lunch and dinner.
He takes away from my quality time.
He’s the D man.
He’s the name and number in her purse.
He met her at the club two weeks ago.
You know, that night I woke up and she wasn’t next to me.
He only calls her cell phone late at night.
She keeps it on vibrate so I don’t wake up.
That’s why last week I slept alone.
He would never try to be sweet to her.
To his friends, he calls her “a hoe”.
Now she tries to sugar coat her burden.
As if I really wouldn’t know.
She tells me that she loves me.
She wants to know why I hurt her.
She smacks me and screams at me for what I do.
She tries to make me think I don’t know what I’m talking about.
She says “trust me” then the TV will calm you down”.
How can a woman be so hypocritical?
