KIRK FOGG X-CLUSIVE INTERVIEW

EXCLUSIVE INTERVIEW WITH THE MAN HIMSELF.......(no not Olmec)

Kirk Fogg

Jon: Thanks for taking time to do this interview with me I have some general questions to ask you.

Jon: Who was your rolemodel as a child?
Kirk: I WOULD HAVE TO SAY MY DAD. I HAD BASEBALL, FOOTBALL,
BASKETBALL HEROES AND I HAD FAVORITE ACTORS BUT AS
FAR AS ROLE MODEL IT WOULD HAVE TO BE GOOD OLD DAD.

Jon: Did you plan on going to get into television and
movie production as a kid and teen, and if not, what
did you want to do?
Kirk: I ACTUALLY WANTED TO BE IN MOVIES AND TV SINCE I WAS
FIVE. BUT OCCASIONALLY I HAD OTHER IDEAS LIKE DENTIST,
PRO BASEBALL PLAYER ETC.

Jon: What did you do in your pre-Legends days?
Kirk: PLAYED LOTS OF BASEBALL, FOOTBALL, WENT TO COLLEGE,
LATER MOVED TO NEW YORK, STUDIED ACTING AND STARTED
DOING COMMERCIALS, LOTS OF THEM. WHEN I GOT TO LA I
STARTED WRITING, WON A WRITING FELLOWSHIP THEN OUT OF
NOWHERE GOT LEGENDS!
AND THROUGH IT ALL CONTINUED TO LOTS OF
COMMERCIALS..... NOW TRYING TO BE A WRITER/DIRECTOR

Jon: How did you acquire your role on Legends ?
Kirk: I AUDITIONED FOR IT. I THINK THEY LIKED MY PLAY BY PLAY
COMMENTATING..I REALLY DIDN'T KNOW HOW TO BE A HOST
AND HAD TO LEARN REAL FAST.

Jon: What was the first day of filming like?
Kirk: FRIGHTENING. I HAD A TELPROMPTER, LIVE AUDIENCE, AND
KIND OF A DIFFICULT SHOW TO HOST. EVERYONE AND I MEAN
EVERYONE WAS TRYING TO FIGURE IT OUT ON THE FLY....
SOMETIMES I SEE THAT FIRST SEASON AND SEE MYSELF
SCRAMBLING.... BUT I GAVE IT MY BEST.

Jon: Any Favorite Moments?
Kirk: YEAH, COMING IN ON THE FIRST DAY OF MY SECOND SEASON
AND MEETING OUR NEW DIRECTOR. HE WAS REALLY GOOD AND
HELPED ME TO IMPROVE. ALSO CHANGED SOME OF THE
STRUCTURE OF THE SHOW SO I WOULDN'T HAVE TO DO
EVERYTHING. IT WAS THE SECOND SEASON THEY GAVE OLMEC
THE STORIES TO READ. THAT SEASON WE WON "BEST GAME
SHOW" FOR CABLE.

Jon: Who were the temple guards?
Kirk: I CAN'T EVER DIVULGE THAT INFO OR THEY WILL HUNT ME
DOWN AND..........

Jon: How did you find out and how did you react once
you found out that Legends was cancelled?
Kirk: WELL I REALLY CAN'T REMEMBER BUT I THINK I WAS SORT OF
SURPRISED. IT WAS A HIT SHOW. THE PRODUCERS AND
MYSELF ALWAYS SAID WE THOUGHT IF OUR SHOW WASN'T A
NICK SHOW IT WOULD STILL BE RUNNING TODAY. NICK IS
FAMOUS FOR 3 YEARS AND OUT.

Jon: Did you get to keep anything from the show as
memorabilia??
Kirk: I WISH I HAD BUT UNFORTUNATELY I DON'T. ALL I HAVE
LEFT IS A LEGENDS SHIRT. I KNOW YOU'RE HOPING TO SCORE
WITH SOME OF THAT, RIGHT?

Jon: What was it like to go from hosting a show with
10-14 year olds to making more mature films?
Kirk: ACTUALLY DOING THE SHOW WAS REALLY MORE DIFFERENT
THAN ANYTHING ELSE I HAD DONE OR HAVE DONE SINCE.

Jon: On that note you have a new movie coming out. Can
you give us some behind-the-scenes info?
Kirk: THE MOVIE IS CALLED DISTORTION. GO TO
WWW.DISTORTIONTHEMOVIE.COM AND YOU CAN GET THE SCOOP,
PLUS THE TRAILER... IT'S A THRILLER.....

Jon: Do you know where the "Silver Monkey" is today?
Kirk: I DO NOT BUT MY GUESS IS THAT ONE OF THE PRODUCERS HAS
IT.

Jon: Where do you currently reside? Or do you move
around movie to movie?

Kirk: I LIVE IN LOS ANGELES. BUT I LOVE TO TRAVEL.

Jon: Lastly, is there anyone you want to thank or give
a shout-out to before we wrap things up?
Kirk: YES, BIG SHOUT OUT TO ALL THE ORIGINAL AND NEW FANS OF
LEGENDS. I ACTUALLY GET NICK GAS NOW WHERE I LIVE AND
I WATCH THE SHOWS. YOU KNOW, SOMETIMES THEY'RE PRETTY
EXCITING!!

Jon: Thanks for taking time to answer these questions
and I wish you the best of luck in the future!
Kirk: THANKS, JON AND GOOD LUCK WITH WHATEVER YOU
DO [IN THE FUTURE].....
