A True Majority Rules
Why is it that there is a few with so much power and control over many? One one hand you have those that do the work of the country and on the other you have those that reap the benefits of such work. In other words, you have masters and slaves. I find it strange that a few overwhelmingly own the majority of the world's wealth. A few speak for the majority of the world. A few rule over those that have to fight the unjust wars of the world. There is no way a few should have so much power over so many when it is the people who give them such power. No one can get rich or powerful on their own. It takes the hard work of a people to support such men. Decisions are made that affect the lives of so many and they have no say in the matter. Take the 2000 election, for example. The people made a vote. However, the people didn't get their choice. Whether better or worse, if the "people's choice" was in the oval office, we would be looking at a different president. We are told that we live in a democracy but it is only in theory. In practice, it is quite the opposite. Instead of having direct input in our government and being able to tell the government(whom WE give their powers)what we want, we are TOLD what we want. Our democracy is actually a hypocrisy. It is a totaliterian dictactorship of a few who control the masses in its disguise as democracy.
