Masater P Despite claims to the contrary, most rappers don't retire; "final" albums are more marketing ploy than graceful bow. Inevitably, as in the case of also-"retired" Too $hort, the artist resurfaces, either not content with the easy life on the other side of the mic or, more likely, still desirous of the guaranteed platinum sales a few generic songs can produce. Master P, in his alleged swan song, gives us all that and more, producing a double-length album that is perhaps the paradigmatic LP of the No Limit sound, replete with the oft-resuscitated tropes of gangsta rap and delivered over the slick formulas of the Beats by the Pound team.

DMX First single pulled from the rapper's 2006 album Year Of The Dog...Again. This single is produced by Scott Storch, who has been the beatmaker on hits by Dr.Dre, Mario, Beyonce, Sean Paul, Chris Brown and Notorious BIG. Features 'Lord Give Me A Sign' coupled with 'We In Here'. RCA.

Big Pun Ladies and gentlemen, without the lyrical skills of Big Pun, the Terror Squad will never be the same. It's like Bad Boy without Biggie or The Roc without Jay Z. In a short amount of time, Big Pun had already gathered a fan base and had loyal supporters from New York to other places around the world. "Endangered Species" is a tribute to Big Pun just like "Born Again" was a tribute to the Notorious BIG. The difference is that on this CD, these are all actual songs and not a fabrication of songs put together to make a CD, like "Born Again" was. "Endangered Species" features early Big Pun songs, tracks that he was featured on that may have been on other artist's CDs and a few unreleased tracks as well. This CD was well put together. The 1st single, "How We Roll" w/Ashanti is vintage Big Pun and will remind some people of last year's "It's So Hard" w/Donell Jones. Througout the CD, you are reminded of all the classic Big Pun verses that he put out throughout his rap career, that was tragically cut short. My personal favorites inculde the unreleased songs "Brave In The Heart" and "My World", classic posse cuts "Banned From TV" and "John Blaze", and Big Pun classics such as "Whatcha Gonna Do" "Off The Books" w/Beatnuts & Cuban Link, & "Twinz" (Deep Cover '98). You should also check out the freestyle with Remy Martin that uses the beat to DMX's "Get At Me Dog". To anyone that doesn't have most of these songs on CD because they are on other rap artist's Cds, this is a nice collection of songs to have, especially if all the Big Pun songs you have are on "Capital Punishment" or "Yeeeah Baby". This is an excellent tribute for the artist known as Big Punsiher.

Sauce Money "Queensbridge's finest" is more than a token tag line when it comes to The Firm's former silent storm trooper, Nature. The self-proclaimed rhyme animal's compelling storytelling techniques make for an excellent solo debut, For All Seasons. Nature's prolific verbal talents unfold before your ears on tracks like "Man's World," which samples the James Brown classic of the same name. In the same vein, Nature lyrically catches hell from a woman scorned on the dramatic rim-shot alternating track "Young Love," where the rapper brings mistress trauma to life. Even on "We Ain't Friends," with its drowsy drum beat and intriguing xylophone instrumental, Nature masters the art of riding an atypical instrumental score. An overall A+ album, Nature nurtures each verse, presenting his listeners with more than a season of songs to nod their heads to.
