Living in a family of 14 is pretty hard, if you ask me. I know this because I, Jesse Carter live in a family of 14 people.
First, there’s little James. He’s only 9 months old. He doesn’t like anyone but me, for some weird reason. But I personally think he’s pretty cute.
Then there’s Zoe. She’s 2 years old, and can get on your nerves sometimes.
Then Carl. He’s 6 years old. He is a big brat. He’s big and stocky and always gets his way. He wants to be a professional wrestler when he grows up, so it can get pretty dangerous with him around.
The two 8 year-old twins, Derrick and Stephen are two Curious Georges always getting into trouble.
And Stefanie. She is 9 years old and she plays the violin. She could audition in any music group in the world and make it.
And of course, there’s me. I’m 11, and I am a good student in school. You’ll find out more about me as my story goes on.
Sam is another one of my sisters…Well, technically she’s not my sister yet, but pretty soon we are going to adopt her. Sometimes she has a really, and I mean really bad temper. Sam is 12 years old.
Pete is a total jerk. He’s 14, and he always picks on me. He is so mean!
Tyler is 15 and he is really violent. He doesn’t use his violence on anybody but me though, so nobody knows how bad he is.
Sarah is a serious partier, and she is always drunk. I am the only one who knows about this though, and I am afraid to tell mom or dad. My parents never actually got it, why she always gets home at 1:00 in the morning. She is 16 years old.
Dante is a popular guy. He is 17. He has this one girlfriend, Janice. They seriously love each other. It gets so annoying! Dante always shoves me out of the way, and shows off in front of her. I don’t like him.
There’s Mom and Mike, Mom’s boyfriend. He is tall and has dark hair. He pretends to be nice to me, but when nobody’s around, he is violent. Mom wants me to call him Dad but I won’t because he will never ever take the place of my real Dad. He is so bossy and I have to admit it, I am kind of afraid of him.
