A Pad Yatra, literally translated as "journey on foot," is a snapshot of this self‐awakening process. Each year, His Holiness the Gyalwang Drukpa leads hundreds of his monks, nuns, lay students and friends on such a journey. They walk on foot through mountain passes, tea plantations, paddy fields, forests, railway treks, remote villages, busy towns and bustling cities. It is an expansive experience of human life, alongside a spiritually accomplished master, his spiritual devotees and committed friends.
